pitchfork is a pretty damn good indicator of new music as long as you develop a bit of a filter on certain prejudices of theirs

That radiohead board treats it like the gospel truth. I'm really not interested in being told whats good and whats not. I'd much rather take recommendations from people who's taste I trust than believe in anything a magazine or website can tell me.

pitchfork is a pretty damn good indicator of new music as you long as you develop a bit of a filter on certain prejudices of theirs I don't like the forced crave for new music and I certainly don't like the desperate attempts of self obsessed cunts who try to come off as people that know about music but know fuck all. Bunch of shitty hipsters. People who take that site serious are no better than people who listen to the radio 24/7, are being told what to like by major labels and think the top 100 charts are the best songs at the moment |

i just trust you guys. Pitchfork once in awhile gets it right with new music like baz mentioned and i am glad they are around, but at same time I am glad NME is around too. They both have their biases and we all have too. Hipsters hate oasis, thats fine. Makes it more fun to rain on their parade as well.
Music is a feeling and nerdy critics don't necessarily get that sometimes.
