this is the stuff that winds me up about that band.
no one will be making a big deal when it is 50 years to the day of the kinks or the stones first gigs.

this is the stuff that winds me up about that band. no one will be making a big deal when it is 50 years to the day of the kinks or the stones first gigs. It doesn't wind me up, I just find it kind of boring. Every other week it's '30 years since lennon was in bed' '40 years since the beatles walked past abbey road' '50 years since george got a papercut'

To be fair, the yelp George let out when he got that papercut >>>> the entire output of every other band ever.

I have always said that The Beatles should be everywhere. Always. At schools, on the news, on the radio, on the mirrors, on the lifters, on the bus. Yeah, they're The Beatles, they were that good.

100% agree with that, axl. Was in the 'pool a few years ago for just long enough to do a beatles-tour, and as luck would have it, a Fab cover band were playing the cavern that night, so me and my mates went over, grabbed a couple of pints and pretended we were in 1963....man, what an epic evening.

everyone in their life time should get themselves to the Cavern for a night to see a Beatles tribute band, amazing night's work, my children wont be allowed a life until they have completed this task.

I was on The Cavern a few years ago, for one hour or so. Nearly cried when I found a picture of Rafa Benitez

The Cavern thats there now doesn't stand in the same spot as the original does it? Wasn't it torn down and replaced by some kind of ventilation system or something, its been a few years since I was there, can't remember correctly.
But the Cavern that stands now is an exact replica of the interior but next door?

I wonder how Liverpool council came to the conclusion that shutting down the original was a good idea?
