themis is talking utter dross you can have the best headphones in the world (which i do) and it is not going to make this album better.
it is almost like radiohead were axiomatic with their sound or maybe thom yorke was. even though in rainbows was a trad rock record they still expanded their repertoire with the bass sound incorporated.

You can't fit that much music on 2 10" vinyls. This really is the whole thing. I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet

the last 2 songs are pretty boring, too many guitars and conventional sounds, not enough catchiness. if you're gonna make melodically boring music (see bloom for example) make it sonically interesting. these sound like sub-elbow jams. anyways, who has liked a recent radiohead album after 1 listen?

It's finally happened. They've been threatening for a while, but radiohead just disappeared up their own arse.

I wasn't a big In Rainbows supporter, and I understand that it would be unfair to compare the two records (although it is natural to compare an album with its predecessor) because they obviously come from a different approach. That said, I'm very disappointed with the record so far. I miss their old good proper songs with verses and choruses and a melody you could actually sing along to. And guitars, what the fuck, have they fallen out of style?! Yeah, we already knew Thom Yorke likes Aphex Twin and all that micromusic shit, there was no need for another record to prove it as Kid A and Amnesiac were enough proof. This sounds like something he's done in front of his computer, alone, while wearing only his underpants and eating beans directly from the can. Like Lenny from the Simpsons " Please don't tell anyone how I live". I think that post sounded better in your head than it turned out in reality.

I wouldn't say it's better than In Rainbows at this point but it is still rather great.

The more I listen to it, the more this feels like a continuation of IR, actually. The sound is pretty similar, especially the first 3 tracks. Deffo prefer this new 'un though. The tunes stick in my mind a fuckload more than most of that record. With IR I made an iTunes playlist mixing parts of the album with favourite tracks from the bonus disc, and enjoy it much more. This, i like everything on it. Which is nice. Feral to me is like a much, much better Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors
