Not impressed with this at all.

I wasn't a big In Rainbows supporter, and I understand that it would be unfair to compare the two records (although it is natural to compare an album with its predecessor) because they obviously come from a different approach. That said, I'm very disappointed with the record so far. I miss their old good proper songs with verses and choruses and a melody you could actually sing along to. And guitars, what the fuck, have they fallen out of style?! Yeah, we already knew Thom Yorke likes Aphex Twin and all that micromusic shit, there was no need for another record to prove it as Kid A and Amnesiac were enough proof. This sounds like something he's done in front of his computer, alone, while wearing only his underpants and eating beans directly from the can. Like Lenny from the Simpsons "Please don't tell anyone how I live".

really pleased reading the comparisons to the eraser too, it was a much better record than in rainbows.

Absolutely love Lotus Flower.

It picks up toward the end with Give Up The Ghost & Separator.

Can't say I'm that fussed on it at the minute, but a few listens will help

Yea Lotus Flower is this albums Weird Fishes for me and WF is arguably my fave Radiohead track period now. There's always one or two tracks per album that I am absolutely floored by per Radiohead record, the rest I usually like, but it takes more listens.

I'm kind of at a balance of 2-3 really good songs (Lotus flowe, LBL~! and codex) 2-3 good ones (the last two, me and mr. magoo) and 2 shit ones (the first one and feral).

Bit disappointing for a three-year wait.

Listened to it about 5 times today. Been neglecting Radiohead for a while so it sounds even better than it probably would have otherwise. Excellenté.

Anyoone is loving this about a thousand times more than BDI? :lol:

Heard this on the way to work this morning, it's not exactly a driving record is it :lol:
However, i sat down tonight to listen to it on my brand new headphones, and I am really fucking loving it.
I also prefer the second half of the record, even though there isnt one song i like.

With In Rainbows, we had different expectations, which is why it was quite a let down for many, and it took a while to grow on some others (like me). This one kinda grabbed me right away - I'm enjoying it all.

Its only the first half apparently.

The last track is called Seperator - "If you think this is over, then you’re wrong."

2 vinyls with the "Newspaper" edition not out until May.

Thats just rumour and wishful thinking atm though, innit. Atease are apparently convinced part two might even be out tomorrow. It won't, but like i said earlier, i can deffo see a follow-up soon

True. Its just a rumor, but it makes sense. The album wasnt due till Saturday, this comes today. There's two vinyls in the deluxe set which 8 tracks is far too sparse to fill, unless its two tracks per side.

Theres also stuff floating around that something is going on Youtube tomorrow from the band.

Either way, its fun and theres definitely more music coming. Whether its actually album music or b-sides/extras akin to the In Rainbows 2nd disc remains to be seen.

Yeah, its strange that they haven't announced a bonus disc like last time, as the general feeling is they've recorded shitloads of new stuff
