For me, Andy & Gem both contributed stinkers (Kill For A Dream & Wind Up Dream) but I love all of Liam's tunes.
Liam FTW.

It's also on Spotify if you want to sing along!

1. Four Letter Word – I fucking love it. Angry, purposeful, catchy, doesn't really sound like anything else and half-decent lyrics. A true classic. Up there with almost any Oasis song, truly. 10/10 2. Millionaire - Nice, meandering melody. Very pleasant indeed. 7/10 3. The Roller - Grown on me so much. Yes, it's very derivative but it somehow sounds fresh and effortless. 8/10 4. Beatles and Stones - I feel like I should hate this, sometimes I do, but it barrels along, sticks in my head and I don't mind it doing so. 6/10 5. Wind Up Dream - Kinda annoying, incredibly average.5/10 6. Bring The Light - Love it, don't give a shit what anyone says. 8/10 7. For Anyone - Simple as anything but I think it's very sweet and does't outstay its welcome. 8/10 8. Kill For A Dream - Cheesy but stays just the right side of mawkish. Reminds me of Keep The Dream Alive, which I adore. 7/10 9. Standing on the Edge of Noise - Gone off this a bit. Sounds a bit uninspired and forced, still decent I guess. Should be great live though. 6/10 10 Wigwam - The climax feels a bit tacked on but all in all I enjoy this tune quite a lot 7/10 11. Three Ring Circus - Grating. 4/10 12. The Beat Goes On - Lovely. Not quite as amazing to me as a lot of people seem to think it is, but I could listen to it all day. 8/10 13. The Morning Son - Big fan of this. Love the vocals, Liam sings differently somehow, and for me, it works. Bit of a rip off of Looking Glass but not to the extent where it hampers my love of the song. 8.5/10 All in all, 7/10 for the album. Some really top moments, a handful of blinding tunes and a little too much blatant magpiery (but hey, Radiohead owe the latter part of their career to Warp Records and we dont see anyone go on about that too much ). About what I expected. Can't wait for the Troxy.

I'm a saaaaad panda that Wind-Up Dream is getting knocked so much. It's a decent mid-album rocker, i reckon.
Anyway, i'm glad to say i was wrong in my first impressions of this record. A 3 star jobby, i'd say. A couple tracks too long, and the tracklisting is all over the shop, but there's some cracking tunes in there. The only two i can't really stand are Beatles and Stones, and Kill For A Dream so i'd have lopped them off, but otherwise, a decent effort.

It's not breathtaking but it's fun. 6/10. World Outside My Room as the last track would have pushed it to a 7. Favourite track is probably The Morning Son despite having a few trite lines (he's in my soul, he's even in my rock and roll ). Anything but that rhyme ffs. Still, I love the "you're blinded by what you idolise" bit, I'm not quite sure what it means yet but it's a great line.

wind up dream is a solid album track, doesn't overstay its welcome, the harmonica, the guitar intro.. it should be getting more props. c'mon people!! not everything has to be stand alone single
Kill For a Dream = should have been a b-side..
