The Morning Son has the same chord progression than a half song I wrote with my girl years ago, can't avoid adding mentally the arrangements I made, it would be better tbh.

it's simply wrong to call a song kill or a dream for instance. some other tracks on it are also quite delusional (the morning son has rose) wtf? doys may have been dark, but it wasnt delusional. even though its utter bollocks to call a song waiting for the rapture. wtf? get organized ppl.

Went back and listened to Different Gear Still Speeding last night. Honestly, it's not a bad album and I think I like it better than BE. Main problem is there are a few too many songs, and it doesn't flow that well. I've made an alt version where I've trimmed some of the fat and re-ordered it. Makes for a far better listen (for me at least)
1. Four Letter Word 2. The Roller 3. Milliionaire 4. For Anyone 5. In The Bubble With A Bullet 6. Bring The Light 7. Wigwam 8. Standing On The Edge of The Noise 9. Three Ring Circus 10. The Morning Son
Honestly, with those tracks and that running order, it makes for a belting little album.

Just seeing the first few pages of track reviews on here made me smile, so many big scores! You've got a point about too many tracks, I'm guessing no-one wanted to be the "noel" and veto a few of them. That said Bullet, womr, and sons of the stage should have all been on there. Man of misery, although pretty weak is actually better than a lot of the album too. Don't care that sots is a cover, most of the best bands in history have included covers on their albums and beady eye seemed to struggle writing the more uptempo stuff. A big miss for me aswell was the lack of any decent guitar work - flw aside- thought gem and Andy wouldve been excited to get off the leash and generally the album seemed to overproduced and polished which is a shame as the artwork - imo the best gallagher album sleeve - suggested something a lot more punky and raw.

Good God, just seen my own opinion of "not a bad song on there". Wow. Must have just been trying to be beadyeye4it at the time...
Edit ....further rooting through the thread and I find that I opinied "standing on the edge of the noise is mega". I was about 30 at the time. Fuck me, can someone delete the forum please.
