Couldn't get back sleep this morning so got up early and watched the first episodes of a few shows i've been looking forward to.
Friday Night Lights - Season 1, Episode 1
I've seen the film and loved it so was excited to hear Sky Atlantic were going to be showing the TV show. Anyway it didn't disappoint, a great start and i can't wait to for the next episode. Amazing soundtrack from Explosions In The Sky as well.
8/10
Alcatraz - Season 1, Episode 1
Seen a trailer for this the other day so decided to download the first episode. As long as it doesn't have as many twists and turns as Lost i think it'll be brilliant. Have the first 6 episodes downloaded, I'm off tomorrow so i'll fire through them i reckon.
7.5/10
Grimm - Season 1, Episode 1
Cop show about fairytales, the first episode dealt with Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf. Didn't enjoy this as much as the missus did but it showed a little promise.
6/10
I have the first episode of Luck recorded, it looks amazing, i love Dustin Hoffman so i'm looking forward to checking that out and Homeland starts on Channel 4 tonight. Add Suits to that and the new series of A Game Of Thrones starting up soon and there is so much good TV on at the minute.

Just watched the pilot of Awake, doesn't look too bad. It's about a cop who lost his wife in a car crash. Or his son. He's living both versions and doesn't know which is a dream and which is real. Gonna be watching the next few episodes, the pilot got me hooked a little.

the charlatans live at last (2004)8 bought this in poundland years ago and never bothered watching it. stuck it on over the weekend and enjoyed it a lot. what a band 44 inch chest (2009)6 it was alright. made all the right noises but not really enough happening for it to warrant a higher score. a bit winstone by numbers without any real substance.

Breaking Bad Season 1Pretty outstanding, gripping stuff. There are a few little things which could be tweaked (some of the characters feel a little too cartoony) but I have complete confidence in this show. Bryan Cranston is just incredible and I can't wait for Season 2 to arrive in the post tomorrow. 8.5/10

a poor substitute for films. God I hope my soprano's and wire boxsets disintegrate and get all fungus over them before I ever stoop low enough to view them. I'm so above this shit.

not sure where else to put this, but rewatching the sopranos on sky atlantic, up to season 6 and i just wanted to put a couple of observations down: - edie falco as carmela is maybe the best actor in the whole thing. gandolfini as tony is obviously fucking magnificent, imperioli as christoper has some superb range and you could go on and on. but falco is just pitch perfect every single time, so very believable. - everyone in it really is a complete cunt, aren't they

House MD - second to last episode of the entire series
Heartbreaking stuff. Wilson has terminal cancer and has five months left to live. House got thrown back into prison so he's not going to be there with his best friend during his final moments. The show has been on autopilot for the last few years, but when they decide to actually try, it's still amazing television. Can't wait for the finale.
8/10

Misfits Series 1 Episodes 1-3 Congratulations, by viewing that picture you have now derived the same amount of pleasure in 1 second as I have in over 2 hours of watching this show so far. The cast of Skins get superpowers, bollocks.
