I've downloaded the first series myself. I watched it all in chronological order as it appeared on channel 4 back in the day but haven't watched an episode since. I'm quite excited to delve back in but I'm still mourning The Wire tbh  |

It just keeps getting better, justaddbeer. Edit: I posted this after watching the first 3 seasons. Still haven't got to 4 & 5.. I should soon. Been more in the comedy mood as of late. Breaking Bad - Seasons 1 - 3 BB has wowed me nonstop since the opening scene in the pilot. BB is hit you in the face honest with just the right amount of over the top of its portrayal of this drug. Walter is a character that has what is looking likely to be a five season arc of epic proportions. The lead actor has won what, three fucking Emmys? The dentist from Sienfeld is really pulling off one the greatest character turns I've ever seen. The supporting cast is all top notch with exception of the wife. I wanna put a chair in front of her foot so she stubs her toe. I'm reluctant to give a ten without finishing the series, so..... 9/10 |

Great Expectations - BBC
Looked on t'interweb and it was surprisingly not well liked. I thought it was spiffing myself: ray Winstone was perfect as MAgwitch, Gillian andreson gave a quirkily great performance of miss havisham and douglas booth is utterly beautiful so it's worth catching on iplayer just for him.
Admittedly his unfeasibly handsome face couldn't have been forged (hurhurhurhur) as a blacksmith's apprentice but really, if that's all you've got then STFU.
It seems a lot of the criticisim amounts to nothing more than:
"IVE READ THE BOOK, IM DEAD WELL READ ME, AND THERE IS STUFF IN THE SHOW THAT ISNT THE BOOK, I KNOW BEACUSE IVE READ THE BOOK, ALSO THERE IS STUFF IN THE BOOK THAT ISNT IN THE SHOW, I KNOW BECAUSE IVE READ THE BOOK, THIS IS BAD. DICKENS IS A BETTER WRITER THAN THIS WOMAN. SHE ONLY DOES WRTITE FOR EASTENDERS."
Fuck off bellends.
