This was posted in the US tour thread, but since 99% of this forum doesnt give a fuck about that, here ya go...
Like what Im hearing so far. 30 seconds aint shit to really judge, but it sounds all good at the moment.

really looking forward to hearing this. they rarely disappoint. sounds like they're heading in the right direction judging from the clip. i love how their sound has clearly, albeit subtly, evolved over their records.

dunno if I should have posted here or in the US tour thread but looking forward to this new album. Can't wait to hear what's in store for their upcoming setlists...

yeah it'll be interesting to see which of their older material they incorporate. alex implied they were finished with the fake tales/teddy picker type songs, so i'm guessing the setlist will resemble the humbug tour.

i love how their sound has clearly, albeit subtly, evolved over their records. Yup, that's what I like the most about them; they've grown up and their records show it, but not drastically. They know it ain't broke so they're not trying to fix it, but instead they're making it more mature.

Liam G said the other week about them ''they've gone all LA''
frankly that's what I like about them. if they were still singing about slags from Sheffield I'd have lost interest a long time ago.

I was quite happy to see James Ford is producing the new one. Fills me with hope.

Dangerous Animals, Potion Approaching, My Propeller, for the most part it was damn good. My faves are the two ballads though (Cornerstone and Secret Door).

Homme did everything else, of which only crying lightning stood out for me.

I like the James Ford tracks the best as well, but I like the album as a whole too. One of my favorite albums. I'm glad they did it but I'm also glad this album will be a bit poppier.
