axl there are literally a hundred bands that made music similar to piper at the gates of dawn (which is the only pink floyd album I can tolerate) around that time, the rubble and nuggets compilations are full of them, including the early status quo stuff from when they were The Status Quo, that you havent heard of them reflects poorly on you, not me. and is the reason you keep saying these stupid things. david bowies first album which is in some ways similar, came out BEFORE that album.
anyone who thinks kate bush is better than for example arethra franklin, or mary wilson, or dolly parton (her pre country pop singles are grrreat) or nancy sinatra, or pj harvey, or nico or (well the list goes on) needs their ears syringing

all pink floyds sales prove is how many cunts there are in the world you're being silly now. They are without a doubt the second most influential band of all time after the beatles. Pioneers in the studio, and pioneers live. your "hatred" of them doesnt prove or mean anything, it just makes you look silly. ;D the kinks are more influential than pink floyd. first rock band to use eastern elements in song, spawned heavy metal, and created the first concept album. |

Pink Floyd are one of those bands that are vastly overrated by their fans. They have some decent material but there's a lot of it that's shite.
