Your average Weller fan is a bit of a div tbh. They can't see past the changing man and wild wood.
It's so easy for people to hate on Weller, sometimes he sets himself up for it himself but for me is is one of this country's greatest artists & continues to push himself & try new things 20+ albums into his career when it would be so easy to continue to put out the same record & play town called malice to the same overweight balding blokes in parka's for the rest of his career. It's just a shame the poison dwarf will be perfectly happy to do this forever.

Heard him do 'paper chase' (ehhh) and 'dangerous age' (better) in NYC last year. Between those two, around the lake, and the idea of this picking up where wake up the nation left off...I is excited.

I definitely see myself drinking wine alone in my room and having a private dance party to Starlite. What a man The second tune is fun too, in a post-apocalyptic world kinda way. I'm sure I'd rip the shit out of it if Klaxons had made it though. He's definitely a risk-taker with great biceps.

I'm basically okay with everything as long as it doesn't sound like Porcelain Gods.

The album itself is pretty much shit though.

The first tune and the ballad were the only things that stuck out.
I'll give it another go tonight.

Had a horrible feeling about this record from the minute I saw the artwork. Will wait for a leak.
