"No, not the falsetto" was my first reaction but then the chorus kicked in and it turned out to be a nice little tune in the end. It's not much else and I was not expecting that much more either at this stage. Especially since it was revealed that a much more experimental album is on its way later.
Bring The Light was a thrilling listen at first but The Death Of You And Me is a better song. BTL should have, for example, been cut with 1.5 minutes whereas Noel's single is short and sweet and doesn't outstay its welcome whatsoever. And on top of that it has enough little interesting bits to keep you enjoying it throughout. Brass section etc.
But sure, I would have preferred a new Falling Down instead of a new TIOBI.

the review was clearly written on pseuds corner. gigwise is run by a massive bellend called andy day who most people who have met him hate, the content is really shit mostly copied press releases and reviews by amateur student journalists, absolutely joke site. well it's just like this good forum you've writing on every day of your fucking life. and thank god it's not like Bring the Light. and ok, has a TIOBI feel to it.. but at leats it's not fucking ripping off the beatles like a band did in 80% of their songs (the other 20% being shit) and I'm glad someone who has a face like that (example - monkeytennis) hate it. it means the wrong people will get out of the way and we'll enjoy ourself in peace. Noel forever. your fucking TEAM BDI is just fucking hurt today. hurt so bad, porr little fannies.

TIOBI is about a million times better than this. Magneto neatly explained the problems in his seminal 'Contrasts' post, a post that shook the Noel Family to its very core, with its truthbombs and insightarrows.

Magneto it's funny how you're all going insane saying how you don't like it. it's Noel Gallagher and he hasnt changed at all. dunno why you're so furious about him really.

it's a nice little, radio friendly, pop song. BDI can't even get on the radio, they'll just carry on living off the Oasis name. And what was Oasis? Noel, that's what Oasis were, Noels band.
BDI have just been royally owned.
