Noel befriended Gordon Smart either because he suddenly likes hanging out with dry characters in shit clothes or because he has the most important tabloid column in the country. Noel obviously spins. More likely Smart toadied up to Noel. Have you ever seen pictures of Smart's office on the TV on in pictures? It's covered in Oasis posters. It's like my bedroom when I was 15  |

POWERFUL intervention from Andy Bell.
He's absolutely correct on every point. The assumption that BDI would be crap, despite being packed with guys of impeccable pedigree, was ridiculous - a myth that was entirely spun by the Noel-wanking sections of the press.
So there it is folks - the final and conclusive proof that Noel Gallagher is both a massive cunt and a shitbag of the highest order.
Can we close this section down? Surely no one can take this shortarse seriously.

Axl's activity in this section has rapidly decreased, he made some in roads in a few early battles but this is a war and Gary has gone AWOL. The Noel Family have been defeated, even Orch has defected, first he gave the album a glowing review and then got his Pretty Green out for the lads.

Speaking as someone who thinks BDI are shit and is considering using Noel's latest output as an anaesthetic, I would currently rank them:
1. Liam. Poor musical output, but at least seems to have a bit of swagger about it. Is branching out and trying new stuff too to be fair.
2. Noel. Dull, dull, dull music. Loves Mumford and Sons FFS. So far off the pace it's not even funny.
3. Andy. Noel might be dull as fuck now but he's still achieved far more than Andy ever will. Slagging off your old bandmates is not cool - well Liam maybe can but as one of the greatest rock n roll singers of his generation plus being Noel's brother he's got that right. Andy doesn't.
Note: This does not mean I'm in Team Liam.

really disappointing but not exactly surprising to have it confirmed that noel is a liar, like byram says, a sign of narcissm and small man syndrome. it's disappointing in the respect that he has written some of the most generous-hearted, wonderful songs of my generation and i'll always love him but sad to see him reduced to this shit. the sings were there when people like paul weller just said that noels stories were at best, exaggerations and at worst, complete fabricated bullshit.

I listened to The Three E.P's this time for the first time week (I'm making a point of listening to stuff I never bothered to). The amount he ripped off from that for Go Let It Out (one of my fave Oasis tunes) has left a very bad taste in my mouth. He even stole the 'scratching' as we called it back in the day. Thank god Liam smashed the vocal or I'd never be able to listen to it again.
I've always suspect Noel befriended Gordon Smart so he came across well in The Sun so Andy's confirmation isn't that bad.
The Good Rebel was fucking shit though.
Forum wars aside (honestly!) I'm on a massive Noel downer at the moment.
Atleast the choir and strings thing on his website looks good. I'm sure there will be 4 or 5 bangers on it.
