enjoyed the song though, nice melody. bit boring i guess but very catchy all the same. quite liked the lyrics as well, especially the chorus.

First off, the melody is absolutely amazing. Bearing in mind i have shit speakers and its an internet rip, the production sounds rather dubious. Ofcourse cant say anything proper untill i get the actual album, but fucking hell.. Is this Dave Sardy producing? Im one of the few that really, really liked the production on DBTT but this sounds like a sludgy stew of nothingness. I hope its my shit speakers but i cant identify anything (apart from a terrible (overdubbed?) vocal on the chorus and a misplaced ''listen up'' style guitar line thats completely out of place in this arrangement. The little Steve Earle country slide at the end, where the fuck does that come from?  The beast is still caged.. |

Right my first bit of negativity towards Noel solo so far. Its a great song, great melody but the production is turd. I think it could have sounded so much better with anybody other than Sardy. Could have done with some strings on it aswell i think. This is going to sound brilliant live though.
