So Lynds, you're a girl.. Saw this girl (not ex-girlfriend but ex.. you know what) the other day that I haven't talked with for 8 years or something and she said I looked the same as then (I am 29 now) and that I was like from the book "Dorian Gray". Is that a compliment or a nice way of telling me I look like a fuckin' 15 year old? well I don't know if it's both Jake, I don't even know if it's either one. The premise of Dorian is that he had a portrait painted and it aged while he stayed the same. I guess it's a compliment by comparison though. "wow Backstreets you haven't aged a bit!"

Expendables is 10/10
Stallone needs to get fucking working on CobraII. I really hope he is going to remake Death Wish only he can do it justice.
Statham really needs a script for Crank 3.

in bed with madonna - 8/10 tour documentary from the 90/91 blonde ambition tour. going thru me vhs tapes and thought i'd give it a look. some really awkward viewing. especially the bit where the old friend from michigan wants her to be the godmother of her kid. kevin costner calling her show "neat" is another one. comes across as a bitch in some scenes and a genuine warm hearted individual in others. some good concert footage to enjoy along the way as well. I've been meaning to watch this and Gigli. I can't imagine how hilarious both will end up being.

The ChaserA really good Korean thriller, detective/pimp hunting down some missing prostitutes that leads to a psycho. Pacing was perfect, the minimal soundtrack worked a treat & it was gripping from start to finish. Is in the process of being remade by the same people that did the Departed. 8.5

28 Days Later [2002] My opinions not changed on this, must of seen it maybe 4 times since it was released. It's one of the best horror films made in the past ten years despite it's flaws. Was hoping I'd feel different towards the final 30 minutes this time around but got the same feelings from the scenes in the army camp. It just feels like that whole part was an afterthought by Boyle, maybe his script couldn't be padded out for a feature length so that was written in. I know it's an almost impossible task to make a film like this and not repeat what's gone before but the scenes of an empty TCOTU with the soundtrack make such a great atmosphere topped with the optimistic moments where the survivors seem almost happy for a brief moment doing their shopping/watching the horses. The final half hour just felt far too predictable for it's own good. Still, a very good film & respect to anyone who can get a shot of Tottenham Court Road empty without using CGI. I saw how they did that 6 months before the film came out, they were handing 10 pound notes to drunk people at 5am telling them to stay still for a few minutes 8 Still not seen 28 weeks later, probably watch that next.

Abigail's Party [1977] Is a tough watch this due to the majority of the characters being so despicable without a single likable quality between them but as the film goes on the characters slowly begin to despise each other a little bit more by the minute until it all explodes at the end, definitely worth the payoff. 7

12 Angry Men9 I'm not the biggest fan of classic films but this one gets your interest from the first minute. Sometimes we tend to forget that what really matters is the story, and one room could be enough to make a great film.

Knight And Day
Was quite entertaining, obviously over the top action scenes etc. Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz were both quite funny. Good if you don't want a serious film
6/10
Salt
Was alright like, few twists here and there. Saw the end coming a mile off though
Dark hair Angelina >> Blonde hair Angelina
7/10

Where The Wild Things Are - 9/10
Stunning film. Great on the eyes, easy to follow, really funny and deals with it's subject matter exceptionally well. Got a bit choked up towards the end, too. If I was sat watching it alone I might have let out some man tears but the bird was there and she'd have just mocked me.

have you by chance read those 3 larsson books? i keep picking them up in the bookstore but i don't know if i'll like them. i havent. theyre supposed to be good. the movies are awful compared to the books. I was hesitant at first, but they're really really great. Not like a nobel prize winner book, but a fucking good story with great characters. Imo the films don't do the characters any justice. fruit machine pineapple express 7/10 was ill, it was a good laugh. Seth rogen is very good. Though I skipped the last coffee shop scene.

30 Rock, s0208, "Secrets and Lies", 8.9/10
Now, it's no secret that I'm probably the biggest 30 Rock fan this side of the equator, and I could probably watch the first 3 seasons over and over again, they're just that good; I'm amazed at how great the characters are in this episode, their chemistry, the one-liners ("You can't pass, you hillbilly!", "I call the movie 'Risky Business' 'Risky It' because it means business." "Cajun style!"), the gags (holding a bra together with tape? Classic. Eyeballs whitened? Shark attack? Awesome and awesome.) The second season is the best one IMO, and episode 8 is definitely one of the better ones. Lemon out.
At playing the loser Jewish stoner who gets in trouble but eventually finds his way in the world and learns a valuable life lesson. It's the same character, every. fucking. time. Don't get me wrong, I like him enough, but he really needs to step out of his comfort zone. I can think of about 4 movies where he plays the same dude. Pineapple Express was good though, but mostly because of James Franco.
