The Secret In Their Eyes (2009) Watched this since it had incredible ratings on imdb and netflix. It also won the Oscar for best foreign film. Shocking great ending but the build up was slow and a bit boring at times, the love story was dull and the characters weren't very likeable. But the ending was superb and for that i give it a 7.0/10

But the ending was superb and for that i give it a 7.0/10 You know I thought the same about the build up, but there is a scene that gives it at least an extra point, the one where they're looking for the guy at the fĂștbol stadium, the 5 -minute sequence shot (that's secretely not a sequence shot but was edited as such), amazing visually and technically. I'm a sucker for well-made sequence shots . Oh and I thought the characters were well developed, considering it's a murder mystery/detective film I thought their love story was a good side-story and kinda fitting with the whole theme. I really loved it; Argentina definitely knows how to make quality films, the best in Latin America (as well as Mexico I suppose). For those of you who haven't seen it and might be interested: The last film I saw was Slumdog Millionaire, 9/10 innit. The best thing about this film has to be the montage and the color palette. The worst: the adolescent cast as Samir (looked nothing like the kid or the adult).

I've had the departed for ages too jp & still not fucking seen it. I've tried to watch it twice & shit got in the way. I'll try & watch it soon. Had Sukiyaki Western Django on my wanted list for a while now, trailer looked amazing when it came out, Ax-man, you have wet my appetite. Have you seen The Good, The Bad & The Weird Ax-man? That also I've wanted to see, seems more light hearted-tougue in cheek kinda film, looks fun though. I think I'll watch Bad Lieutenant tonight The Prowler [1981] Was pretty shit, a good few steps behind most the other slashers of that era. Luckily with bad 80's films u can just spend 90 minutes laughing at the terrible hairdo's. 5

OMG... that sequence was like from another movie!! i was like... where did this come from??? incredible scene. i was semi falling asleep and then this scene happened and i just woke up and my energy was recharged. ur rght the characters fit very well with the film but still not charming imo. the love story though, i still think that its pretty dull and frustrating but very realistic.

The Road - 9/10, I can't believe I haven't seen this, I picked it up in blockbuster last night for $7 (I love the previously viewed deals they always have on.. was 30% off last night).
Really interesting ending, I had to scour the net for other people's views.. some really good theories out their.

only saw 'the departed' once when it came out, but at the time i'd have given it a 9.5. that was the role that made me like dicaprio as an actor again. i couldn't stand him in titanic and other stuff he did until 'the departed'. now i like most of his films except shutter island and that really wasn't because of him. Wha?! What about Catch Me If You Can? If you don't like Leo in that, GTFO

Wha?! What about Catch Me If You Can? If you don't like Leo in that, GTFO never saw that, tbh You should! I think you'd really like it. Tom Hanks best, too. Oh, what a film. After being pestered by not having a sense of humor, Tom Hanks: Would you like to hear me tell a joke? Cops: Yeah!!! TH: Knock knock Cop: Who's there? TH: .......go fuck yourselves. brilliant

the pursuit of happyness 6,5/10 catched this in the cinema some years ago, it was on tv yesterday and i watched it. will smith is good in some roles, this one for example. you can tell he's from philly. in the real life story, I think he hit his kid.

Really interesting ending, I had to scour the net for other people's views.. some really good theories out their. Well it's an open ending, make of it what you will. I think personally it was a slight cop out revealing that the stranger had his wife and kid with him. What would of been a much much more powerful ending would of been the kid to decide to give his hand out to the man then the screen turn black leaving the viewer to wonder if this stranger was genuine or was going to rape/eat him. Obviously whatever the scenario they were all going to die a nasty death due to the cold & lack of food but I felt we really didn't need to be given the sense of hope before the end credits, the whole film was bleak & gave little hope, the ending should of continued with that theme.

Boogie Woogie 2/10 salvaged by heather grahams tits and anna seyfrieds butt and panties shot to an otherwise dull and boring film. The Broken 7/10 scary in some parts and overall entertaining

Does Heather Graham show her tits in every film she's in? I swear all of the ones I've seen have her getting her tits out at some point . I suppose that's what she has to rely on considering she can't act for shit.

Most boring film I've seen in my life, had some right dodgy fucking moments where Iguana's were singing etc.. WTF.. Shite 1/10. 8/10 Usually can't stand Nicolas Cage but he was really good here, Obviously not as good as Keitel in Ferrara's original take but still considering I was out to shoot him down from the second I decided to watch the film he managed to win me over & by the end I'd forgot about all my cage rage. The surreal moments were so unexpected which made them hilarious. It is essentially a remake, theres different characters in a different location, same story but with a totally different outcome. Really impressive film tbh. Glad Herzog decided not to make Cage get his cock out as well. 8
