5.5/10 Really didn't like it. But it gets extra bonus points for learning about the red neck culture. Interesting way these people in America live.

Heh, have indeed! Really enjoyed it. Have you? I'm not buying Empire anymore, cos they gave it 3 stars, when in reality it shoulda been nearer to 26 haha I flicked through that issue in the supermarket the other day and got the hump when I saw the review. It's a fucking blast, huge film.

I did like Scott Pilgrim tbh, caught me by surprise. Achieves what he pursues, don't demand more.
And Machete is a complete BOOM. I mean The Expendables tries to be serious and has some charming moments like the philosophical conversation between Mickey and Sly, but Machete is a non stop, scene after scene, a friend of mine nearly dies laughing.

Boardwalk Empire - Episode 10 (8/10) Everything seems to be falling into place now and I'm looking forward to the last 2 episodes. Chalky White is great.
Sons of Anarchy - Pilot Episode (8/10) Really enjoyed it and it's left me wanting to watch more (which I'll probably do tonight) Fucking great music, too. The younger character, Jax/Jackson, totally reminds me of Heath Ledger (lookswise) and a bit of Kurt Cobain.

The Expendables (2010) The most fun film I've seen for a long time. The plot is so simple it is confusing. I LOVE explosions. I LOVE fights to music. I LOVE Sylvester Stallone. My dad didn't fall asleep and it was PAST 10! When Stone Cold first showed his angry heel face it melted me. Arnie's bit was hilarious. Bruce W. Played his little bit jast as BW plays everything. Statham was entertaining. 9/10 (-1 because the hot woman never got her tits out)

I'd say it's slightly better, definitely more fun though I also loved the expendables Pretty much spot on, having seen both 'Machete' is definitely the better of the two and far more fun. From pretty much the first minute to the last i couldn't stop smiling. Can't wait to see it on the big screen.

Dr. Strangelove.
Saw this remastered version that has 4 times the pixels bluray has, they call it 4k, clever innit and it was stunning. of course the film itself is a proper classic and peter sellars is the best guy ever and all that, but it was really something to see this film in such clarity, it looked so good it could have been a brand new movie. makes me really excited for future remasters of classic movies and a promise of space odyssey had me fondling my penis throughout the movie. yes. 10/10 for the film, and 10/10 for the remastering work done.

6.5/10 very very very disturbing film. Theres nothing more disturbing than rape and young female prostitution. throughout the whole film i was very disturbed, made the film almost unwatchable. but its not a bad film, just hard to watch 6.5/10 Entertaining but nothing that surprised me. I feel like ive seen this film before but i cant recall. Maybe Rain Man, but instead of one guy being retarded, he is semi gay. 6/ 10 Im the retarded kind of guy who enjoys a chick flick, guess the best element of this film was Rachel McAdams charm. And OMG that one scene when she shows her ass in underwear... so hot. Besides that, its pretty plain. Oh, and it was cool to see a "producer" working since thats my major. 6.5/10 Had a few laughs, its hard to dislike this kind of films but they are very forgettable. Watched this with my 11 yr cousin, he was cracking up. I was cracking up during some parts too. Morning Glory>Fargo

Bill Bailey - Dandelion Mind
I love Bill Bailey was excited when I found out he had a new DVD out. As expected, it's fantastic, had me laughing out loud a fair bit. I'd say the 1st half is better than the 2nd but the whole thing is excellent.
8.5/10

Watched a few lately, mostly re-watches of stuff I've posted about before. Psycho 9/10. The Magnificent seven 8/10 which I enjoyed more than first time around Also watched Psycho 2 which I have a soft spot for. Not a great film, ruined by a silly plot when we could of easily of spent 90 minutes slowly watching norman bates lose the plot again but still. I'd not seen it for maybe 15 years, I remember fancying the fuck out of the girl in it when I was little & I still do. probably a 7 for the film

I saw the shot-for-shot remake of Psycho in HMV earlier, for 4 squid. Very nearly bought it. Fuck knows why. It just sounds too awful to miss MonstersYeah, so not the greatest title, eh, but I erm.... acquired a rather nice copy of this a couple nights back, and greatly enjoyed it. Here's the fluff: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monsters_%282010_film%29A minimal cast (there's 2 leads, who are also a real-life couple, trivia fans), it's shot really nicely (using just the one camera), and i actually found it oddly moving in places. Don't really wanna say any more, through fear of giving bits away, but yes, I'd like to recommend this big-times. People (Empire) are saying it's "this year's District 9". I dunno about that, but that's certainly a recent film it reminded me of, from the way it's shot, to the general tone, to the quite stunning use of such a small budget. It clearly won't be for everyone, and it's pretty slow-moving and subtle for a film with that title, but by the end I thought it was pretty great.
