The secretary, 2002 [3] Started off like your ordinary weird indie movie with a minimal cast and people with minor psychological issues. Halfway through the movie I thought that I would rate it a a mere 7, because like all those other movies like that they seem to go nowhere quite often. But the last half of the film it tied it together beautifully in a very surprising way and it led to the first part of the slow start fit together very nice. The acting is great throughout and I'm quite surprised of how it turned out. I also never had a thing for Maggie Gyllenhall before this. James Spader is also in it and he's very good in these roles. Also, there are some quite vivid sex scenes in it Very funny movie in a way. 8/10 Best movie I've watched all year.

015. Big Fish Watched this a couple of times over the years, always a charming tale about the art of storytelling. Never been blown away by it and wasn't this time either 5/10 016 - Buried Saw it on StageVu this morning so thought it might be worth a watch after seeing Karl's decent review. Good film and gripping since its basically just a guy in a box with a phone - Ryan Reynolds is good, I certainly couldn't keep that calm..... 7

Easy Rider (1969) I went into this thinking Dennis Hopper would be amazing an it would continue to solidify my hate for narks. I got one of those right. Hopper's character was terrible. Nicholson was the highlight for me. Peter Fonda gets my highest of regards. It meanders. And then it meanders some more. Peter Fonda tries a bit too hard to bring some sanity to the film but ultimately it is a stretched out hitchhiker of a film. 5/10

Kids (1995) Bunch of wannabee amateurs. Back in my day I would have torn all their skin off and fucked the AIDS bitch, used the skin as fuel to travel in the future so I could rape all their kids and cure myself of AIDS, then get super meth to travel to the past to rape all their mothers with a huge fucking time traveling boner. These kids hard? Bunch of assholes with bad haircuts. 2/10

the other guys [4] starring Will Ferrel it can only be one kind of humour. I like it but and I laughed. But I laughed the most at the rock and samuel l jackson. Eva Mendez is in it too. She's smoking. Mark Wahlberg from Marky Mark and the funkybunch makes a cameo. 7/10

[018] This is Spinal Tap I don't think I'd ever seen this from start to finish, always caught it on TV halfway through or whatever; I absolutely love these kinda films. "Shit Sandwich" "Armadillos in our trousers" . Brilliant comedy. 9/10 [019] Rain ManOk, um, I'd never seen this (:embarrassed:) and I don't want to jump to any conclusions here or precipitate myself, but fuck, I think this just knocked out The Royal Tenenbaums as my favorite film ever made... I think so. I will always love TRT as it was the first film I ever actually adored, and I didn't expect to ever see a film I'd like more, but I think this is it. It's a kind of scary thought, but times they are a'changing and apprently Rain Man did the job. What can I say about it? It's fucking beautiful and funny and frustrating and amazing in every way. Did Dustin Hoffman win the Oscar for it? Cause he must have. And not only that, I fucking despise Tom Cruise with all my soul, but all throughout this film I just loved him and connected with him. Great fucking performances all around. 10/10

007: Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977) George LucasI have only ever seen the original Star Wars movies once, and that was about 10 years ago, so i picked up the original trilogy box set with some christmas vouchers. Firstly they are so much better than those shitty prequels, there is actually a pretty nice story going on underneath and you do feel some empathy for the characters unlike the new ones. Some of the acting is a bit ropey but its avery enjoyable film, looking forward to the others now.. 8.0/10

Bakester, I can't agree with you on Easy Rider, whilst I don't think it's the classic it is supposed to be (the importance of the film is lost on me, I can only judge it by whats on the screen) I still think it's a very good film. However, I completely agree with you regarding Kids. The film was a total failure because of the unconvincing casting. Had the 'kids' in the film went to my school when I was that age they'd of been bullied for looking like such soft cunts. I can't buy into a film like that if the characters look like complete poofs. At least Kidulthood had believable characters. Sunday I saw a Giallo double bill at The ICA #22 Amer [2010] Visually this was fucking fantastic, the sound design was just as stunning. Unfortunately the film was just that, amazing to look at but nothing else. A complete lack of plot, just a trippy visual piece for 90 minutes, people into that kind of thing would probably love this. I actually enjoyed it for what its worth though I'm glad I got to see it on the big screen as if I'd seen this on DVD I think much of it's effect would of been lost. 6.25 #23 Tenebre [1982] First time I saw this & great to see a Argento film on the big screen as it's not something I'd imagine I'd ever get the chance to see. Some really shocking acting & humour at times which was hilarious but there was also some great set pieces & kills. Definitely one of his best from what I've seen. John Saxon is in it as well, anything with Saxon in always rocks. 8 #24 Basket Case 2 [1990] This was fucking shit. I love the first one as well. This lacked all the horror of the original & the humour was just rubbish as well. 3.5

Drag Me To Hell (2009) Meh. I didn't like the casting in this. Alison Lohman wasn't shocking in this, but I just didn't believe her most of the time. Justin Long licks donkey balls. But it was rather fun in places. I found myself laughing out loud often. The end was a fist in the air moment. 7/10

Love Easy Rider, you hurtful man BlackadderI - well written and made, but pretty low on the laugh front. I reckon the show only got really good once Ben Elton came in. Still, very enjoyable, and the cast are obviously top drawer. II - Faster gag-rate, shot completely in the studio so it tends to hold together better than the mish-mash of the first series, and there's many more great moments and laughs. III - Hadn't seen this series in years, and it had me howling at points. So well written, and incredibly funny. Hugh Laurie is a brilliant addition, too. LOVE Tony Robinson, and Rowan Atkinson was never better and his performance and comic timing is utterly world class throughout. Wonderful show, that i grow to love more with each viewing

I've seen it so many times and it never gets old. Can't believe you'd never seen it!
