Is it true Carry Us All was written about how Jack Wilshere used to carry his teammates through games? Before he got carried off himself on a stretcher?
Always preferred the demo either way.

Continuing the football analogy I'd say your decline on the forum is more akin to Alexis Sanchez on reflection. A shadow of his former self within 18 months, still living on a reputation of being the star man but having lost his zest and far too predictable despite the noticeable effort. Just a complete spent force who hopefully disappears over the summer.
Victor Meldrew listening to Travis. Such a miserable bore nowadays is our Baz.

Loving this Baz vs Sully feud. Long may it continue, fellas.

Forum scraps are really tame these days. A decade ago there would have been 30 folk weighing in, various side arguments kicking off, Dave Orchard throwing around racial epithets and an even chance of Horizen deleting the forum.

When accumulated I think I've laughed more at 'horizen' than Alan partridge.
Always gets me.

I once almost failed a uni exam because I’d got up early to revise and instead got involved in a three page forum row with Davyboy, circa 2005. The cunt had probably spent the entire night drinking before things kicked off at 7am.
I was still raging when I sat down to start the exam and spent most of the allocated time thinking of what my next response would be. I have absolutely no idea what it was we were arguing about. Probably Zak Starkey’s contributions to Don’t Forget The Truth.

You can tell it’s been over a decade since I listened to that record. Hands down their worst album.

HC is the worst. DBTT was the comeback album! Soapbox scores:

Song average is not the only way to rate an album though

True, but it is the best way. What else do you use? Album art?
HC has the weakest songs overall. The era's b-sides didn't help either. Liam's voice at its (studio) worst. Noel phoning it in with LBL and SCYHO.
"Force of Nature" is on HC.

Yes, it is the best way we might have at the moment to rate it, but if we made a ratethealbums thing it might show a different result (HC probably would still be the worst but I doubt SOTSOG would be the 4th)

The production on HC is ropey but the standard of song is substantially stronger than on DFGT (as I now call it). It says a lot they had to tack a song as weak as Lyla on as the lead single.
Meanwhile, HC has The Hindu Times, SCYHO and (P)AITM. Yeah it’s also got Little By Little, but we can overlook that.

Probably all in the mind and she is love are two of the worst songs oasis ever did, not even taking into account force of nature (which most people hate, but I have a soft spot for). Don't believe the truth is MILES better than heathen chemistry.

Given Oasis have at least 20 borderline unlistenable songs, that seems a wildly harsh take on (P)AITM. She is Love is rank, however.
HC sold better, has better songs, and was promoted by a better tour. Oasis with Zak Starkey were deathly boring live.
