I'm glad you shook off the filthy addiction Para. JP on the other hand is sneaking records into the house in hope that his partner won't find out the THOUSANDS he's spent over the past 3 months.
The Keleketla record might be the best sounding thing i've ever heard on vinyl. I mean it's a great record anyway, but it sounds like you're in the studio with them. Such a big, rich sound.
Last year I ended up buying some vinyls for the first time in ages. But what I came here to say was one of them (Fetch The Bolt Cutters: Limited Edition Opaque Pearl Double Vinyl) skipped constantly and I'm being sent a new one after asking the store... What can I do with the other one? Is there any kind of market for shitty faulty (not so much) limited editions?

it's more likely that your arm isn't set up correctly than it actually being a bad press.
I suspected something like that but the other records I've played work fine and I told them and they are sending another one so the "problem" still stands. I'm quite green on all this world tbh, that's why I've only been slightly in and out through the years
I've just ordered a few bits from Drift. BUT, don't know if there's gonna be import taxes following Brexit. And very unusually for Drift, they're not replying.
This is an unforeseen shitter. I will be gutted if that's the case. It'll make it too expensive to order from the UK cutting off my best source of record buying.

I think if it's under £39, it's exempt from any tariffs or additions. Anything more, it's likely to incur extra charges.
I did the same, I ordered a record from a Discogs seller in Portugal completely forgetting about the new charges, but after checking saw that it would be ok as under £39, it arrived today no issues.
Yeah, i had a bigger order from them so cancelled. They sent me a really nice email saying they totes understood and how much of a shit situation it was and if i was ever in Devon to pop in and say hi.
Shame, i loved dealing with them. A lovely bunch.
There's a half decent german record shop with a decent online presence called hhv.de
It started as a Hip Hop shop (HHV = Hip Hop Vinyl) but has a large selection across most genres.
Is pretty good for clothes and trainers etc too, so they're getting my hard earned now.
Ordered Besnard Lakes, Shame, Jess Williamson, Tom Waits (Blue Valentine), Iron & Wine (Shepherd's Dog) and pre-ordered Black Country New Road from them today.

Ok, so the one they sent me skips on nearly the same places. I also found this thread mentioning something similar:

You should ask Mr David, I'm sure he said Brexit was going to deliver some kind of socialist revolution
saying that membership was an impediment to socialism (it is) is not the same as saying removing we will form a new USSR. we had a chance but people couldn't stomach corbyn. Marx didn't write a great deal about ordering vinyl on the internet so I can't offer a position on that.
