£5 pays £175, more chance of Chrissie leaking the BRMC record than this bet coming in mind.

Smaling is awful, he wouldn't be anywhere near the England team (even though this team is possibly the worst in living memory) if he wasn't at United.
He'll get sold to someone like Wigan or Stoke in the next three years and never see an England squad again. A la PHil Neville, Wes Brown etc.

I'll correct that sentence for you, Slippy:
"He'll get sold to someone like Wigan, Stoke or if he's that unlucky, Liverpool, in the next three years and never see an England squad again

yeah not too clever are they. neymar was awful. the worrying thing for them is it was virtually a full strength team. i'd play lucas moura ahead of oscar. lucas leiva as well of course.

Didn't think Neymar played that bad really, just wasn't his day, Ronadihno was fucking dreadful though.
Brazil were pretty average on the whole, Lucas Moura looked lively when he came on and Oscar had a really good game.
England's midfield 3 (wilshire, gerrad and cleverley) were very good, definitely the way too go. We just need someone to play an advanced role on the left now and we'll win the world cup, Wellbeck is NOT a left sided attacker. If only Bale was english....

Hope not, but with the John Terry and Rio Ferdinand gone we don't have as many options as we used to.
Jagielka has turned into a cracking centre back but the rest...
Lescott is out of form and favour at city, Gary Cahill is dodgy, Michael Dawson's form goes up and down disturbingly, Smalling is about the 4th or 5th choice at his club, Phil Jones is a mongy bastard who doesn't even know what his position is and Steven Caulker looks decent but it's still a bit early to ruin him in the national side.

Lescott will probably be on another team for the 13-14 season, so he might get a chance to rediscover his form. Still not sure what he did to piss Mancini off, since his partnership with Kompany was so effective last year, but I have to admit Nastasic has been effective, too.

England squad for games against Ireland & Brazil:
Goalkeepers: Ben Foster, Joe Hart, Alex McCarthy.
Defenders: Leighton Baines, Gary Cahill, Ashley Cole, Phil Jagielka, Glen Johnson, Phil Jones, Joleon Lescott, Kyle Walker.
Midfielders: Michael Carrick, Tom Cleverley, Frank Lampard, James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Theo Walcott.
Forwards: Andy Carroll, Jermain Defoe, Wayne Rooney, Daniel Sturridge, Danny Welbeck
Not very adventurous for friendly games, the U21 squad for the Euros looks more interesting:
GOALKEEPERS Jack Butland (Stoke City), Declan Rudd (Norwich City), Jason Steele (Middlesbrough)
DEFENDERS Steven Caulker (Tottenham Hotspur), Nathaniel Clyne (Southampton), Craig Dawson (West Bromwich Albion), Tom Lees (Leeds United), Danny Rose (Tottenham Hotspur), Luke Shaw (Southampton), Adam Smith (Tottenham Hotspur), Andre Wisdom (Liverpool)
MIDFIELDERS Nat Chalobah (Watford - loan from Chelsea), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), Tom Ince (Blackpool), Henri Lansbury (Nottingham Forest), Jason Lowe (Blackburn Rovers), Josh McEachran (Chelsea), Callum McManaman (Wigan Athletic), Jonjo Shelvey (Liverpool), Andros Townsend (Queens Park Rangers - loan from Tottenham Hotspur)
FORWARDS Marvin Sordell (Bolton Wanderers), Connor Wickham (Sunderland), Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace - on loan from Manchester United)
