Bit gutted as that Goat gig at the Lexington is sold out. Got the record on vinyl today, it's a monster.

Really enjoying the new album by Moon Duo called 'Circles'. Psychedelic rock in the vain of Suicide/Spaceman 3 & recent Jonestown (but better of course) with more pop sensibilities. The record has a real drive about it, always feels like your moving forward. Only complaint is they could of used a bit of variation on the record as it's all very samey though the trick they pull off they do really well.

Repetition is moon duos thing, it's the guy from wooden shjips and his wife. Live it's amazing

tame impala, washed out, wild nothing, twin shadow, and i'm sure by the sea will make the list too. surprised mister david has not brought them up but he is probably out of touch with the liverpool scene. Danny from by the sea was out with one of my mates last night and I told him about a yank bigging up his band on the Internet, he was made up.

Tame Impala is growing on me tbh, it's still all about the sound but the songs here seem to be more focused. Plus Feels Like We Only Go Backwards gets me every time, it's like the song Beach House have been trying to do for their whole career but well done.

The most mental & possibly best record I've heard all year is 'World Music' by Goat. A psychedelic Rock record from Sweden which has influences all over the place. Sounds like one of those lost eclectic rock records from the early 70's. African beats, kraut at times, fuzzy guitars, just a great mix of all things wonderful. Here somebody sums them up better than I can: Goat are a mysterious collective from the remote village of Korpolombolo in the dark forests of Sweden, a place apparently haunted by a voodoo curse dating back centuries. The legend may well be hogwash but there is something mystical brewing on Goat’s debut album. ‘World Music’ is an astonishing listen - a seething mix of samba beats, Afro-Kraut rock grooves and decidedly nasty psychedelia. It’s as if Spacemen 3 swallowed Paul Simon’s ‘Graceland’ and projectile-vomited nine nuggets of joy. ‘Disco Fever’ is booty-shaking filth, while ‘Let It Bleed’ is a sizzling, horn-laden funk workout reminiscent of Parliament at their most deranged. A brilliant and intoxicating record.Decent Have you heard 'Afreaka' by Demon Fuzz? If you like this i reckon you'll love that.

That's mental that you mention it as I'd been listening to it for a few weeks leading up to hearing Goat for the first time. Amazing record. I had no idea they were British either.

I've had that on my hard drive for about two years and never listened. Thanks, I'll chuck it on the Ipod now.
That demon Fuzz thing is weird as it was pure coincidence I found them & had never heard them or even of the name before.

Wasn't a fan of the Japandroids records, everybody seems to enjoy it. I just thought it sounded like standard indie-rock, nothing really grabbed me as being interesting or exciting.

Right, I'm going to give it a go. I really didn't like their first album, I just found it really dull.
