* Biffy Clyro – Only Revolutions * Corinne Bailey Rae – The Sea * Dizzee Rascal – Tongue n' Cheek * Kit Downes Trio – Golden * Foals – Total Life Forever * I Am Kloot – Sky at Night * Laura Marling – I Speak Because I Can * Mumford & Sons – Sigh No More * Paul Weller – Wake Up the Nation * Villagers – Becoming a Jackal * Wild Beasts – Two Dancers * The xx – xx
my money is on corrinne bailey rae, they tried it with a lesser known darky woman last year, it failed so will have another go.
edit: i've changed my mind, they've never picked a rock band or scotchmen so it'll be biffy clyro

It's not something you can even guess. They just shut their eyes and point to one on the list when they're choosing. Alot of pish.

these lists just get worse and worse each year dont they.
the wild beasts lp is by far my favourite from that lot but i doubt theyll win.
i think its time for one of the favourites to win again this year so will probably be the xx or mumford and sons

I imagine it'll be The XX, despite the blandness of the record
What happened to the days when the Prize was an outlet for new artists, Paul Weller? Biffy Clyro? I Am Kloot?

Surprised that I Am Kloot are up for one, listening to the new album now, is quite nice but really, a million miles off their debut.

yeah i was massively disappointed with the new i am kloot. theyve lost their way a bit over the past couple of years i think.
fuck knows why theyve put proof on the new album as well. i know its their best tune by a million miles but seems a strange decision.

ha thats quite funny because I had arranged my library by songs as I was searching for some coral tracks & proof came on, I thought I'd fucked something up and skipped to the next track Very odd decision.
