Looks like a good lineup that. I'm off to Electric Picnic in Ireland this year.. The lineup ain't knock out so far, some decent acts but it just needs padding out with quite a few smaller bands and it'll be there.

Gutted I'm not there. The inevitably shit BBC coverage will hopefully make me feel a bit better about not being there.

Yeah, every year its been on since 04. Wasn't bothered until this week came around. This time 10 years ago I was getting ready for Oasis headlining. Shame it was shit, sound was terrible.

the late night coverage is normally better. i miss the days of john peel in his shorts with mark radcliffe and jo whiley. steve lamacq would get a rare tv appearence too whereas normally hes considered too ugly to show his face in public.

You used to have the choice of the big four stages on the red button all day.
I forget how many shit people go to Glasto, I always assume everybody is there to see shit like Nick Cave & Beck. Probably the BBC's doing that so many shit people go there to see Lily Allen and Tom Odell.

Nice. I'm pumped for Latitude. Will have to do some digging through the lineup to find some new shit like SUPERFOOD or THE BOTS.
Might check stubhub nearer the Neil Young gig. Wouldn't wanna pay more than 20 though as I don't really wanna go but its Neil Young innit.

one interesting thing at latitude this year is that keith allen thing we saw on the last night last year with those comedians and john cooper clarke and stuff has moved to that tiny stage where we saw superfood and seems to be on each night. theyve got a load of old post punk bands playing it this year like vic goddard's subway sect, 23skidoo and viv albertine of the slits, could be pretty cool. doesnt seem like there's too many gems further down the lineup this year though from the bands ive checked out but there's still another announcement to come including the sunday special guests so hoping for someone decent there. is enough decent stuff each day to get excited about though, friday has billy bragg, kelis, jimi goodwin, goat, slowdive, mogwai. saturday has tom vek, ghostpoet, damon albarn, booker t, conor oberst and damien jurado. sunday has war on drugs, black keys, lykke li, parquet courts and future islands. il post if i find any britpop shit or anything else that sounds interesting it must have been about this time last year they announced richard ashcroft and gaz coombes in a last minute double header

I literally have no idea who this bloke is. The one who looks a bit like a cross between a parrot and a paedo is Greg James

If anyone's not down at Worthy Farm, SuperJohnny's providing an eddie_murphy style running commentary of the BBC coverage across on Facebook. It's the next best thing.
