No I didn't. They are something to do with Tame Impala yeah? From the one song I've heard they have much bigger bollocks than them. I always find Tame Impala too breezy.

I think 3 of their members are from Tame Impala.
They're quite different but have some similarities, but as you say, Pond seem to have more balls about them. They seem like they have a lot more fun and don't but too much focus on sounding psychadelic.
Definitely check out Beard.Wives.Denim from last year.

I have tried them a few times and dig some songs but generally I've felt a bit underwhelmed. They don't live up to the idea of a more rock focused Tame Impala.

just listening to the new scott and charlene's wedding album for the first time and its a beast. they're a melbourne band who remind me of a cross between the fall, velvet underground and pavement. properly loving this.

I'm not going to bother with it. I saw them at Latitude & whilst they had the influences of bands I like I didn't feel their tunes were good enough.

That's pretty great.
May I add:
The only thing missing in it is a cameo of loved forum member Der Effe/Jorn waving a molotov. Added to that the album has grown on me massively. It's high art on the same level as Wintersox and Don Van Vliet.
