Fair points jornathon.
Japandroids album from last year was a 6/10 at best. Maybe they are great live? What I've heard on record makes them the 274th best rock band in the world.

They're probably great live, I won't deny that. But still they surely are cheap as fuck.

Jorna, you would be happier if you accept that although most people are idiots, that's not a reason to spoil your experiences in a festival. It doesn't spoil my experiences though. But the fact people are feeling so hard done by, when maybe it might be a slight shortcoming on their side is sooooo annoying. What a load of shit. When I find out a band is headlining a festival and I don't know them I would first ask myself why I don't know them, instead of making a complete and utter fucktard out of myself on twitter or something like that. It's not that because of a bunch of American knobs don't know about The Stone Roses, they're not a big and highly influential band. Do a bit of fucking research... If you go to a convention, you first check out what the convention is about and what stand there are. It's also not that you can't actually enjoy the musicians and have a good time. Getting pissed while watching good bands, there's nothing better than that. You're missing the point entirely when you think it's about feeling better than other people, or cooler, or whatever. It's about the complete lack of interest and desire to develop in any sense that makes most festivals a meeting of utter dickheads that just want to be entertained by a bunch of retarded capitalist million dollar business record labels who decide what they listen and don't listen. Think for yourself, for fucks sake. I don't want to admit this, cause you're a bit of an elitist bastard, but I agree with you. ONLY ON THIS. aww

Is no surprise really. Even their first show in Mexico wsa downgraded from 25,000 to an 8,000 venue. Apparently Teegan and Sara had 5 times the crowd on the other stage than the Roses had.

I don't really understand the point of articles like that. OMG YOUNG PEOPLE DON'T KNOW WHO A BAND ARE WHO MADE A SINGLE GREAT ALBUM A QUARTER OF A CENTURY AGO. LOUD NOIZES. Why the fuck should they? Music as a history lesson - fuck off.
Real story of Coachella is the Daft Punk teaser clip with Pharrell and Nile Rodgers, it sounds fucking amazingly exciting.

Its England coming to grips with the fact that they don't matter in a host of areas anymore. Really though I wouldn't be upset that festival lost its soul around six years ago.

Yeah Stone Roses headlining Coachella was mental. Down here in Oz they played Future Music Festival and sub headlined the second stage behind Bloc Party, and there's a fuckload of Brits here compared to California plus British culture etc is generally more popular here.
Their gig at the 5,000 capacity Hordern Pavilion was sold out in a few minutes flat, but that would have been down to large British population here. Even then I could stroll down to one person behind the barrier 20 mins before they came on, was great seeing them up close though.

that article is no real suprise the coachella thing. the american punter is a particular beast, and they never did anything in the states. some of those quotes are priceless 'im just here for moby and RHCP" and "british music is great mumford and sons"
im fairly sure the lads arent gonna be too fazed that those people didnt go see them. end of the day its not the roses loss.
