paws has leaked and is really enjoyable on first listen. don't really like the proggy wig out on the last track though, they're so much better doing quick 2 minute popsongs.

Yeah been listening to the new PAWS album past few nights. I really like it, for an album with so many breakup songs it's still good fun with a lot of lol moments. Defo a step-up from the the debut.

So disappointed with the latest Eels record. It is basically E going over the same few chords singing about the same old shit he's done before, yet not half as interesting (nor as good) as his classic material. If you are going to make half-arsed disposable shit then at least have a bit of fun with it like he did with Wonderful glorious. I prefer many of the songs on the bonus disc to the actual record.
The new Gruff record is wonderful, could be my favourite of his solo records, certainly it'd be in the conversation anyway. Agreed with JP, Albarn's solo record really reveals itself after half a dozen listens.

The Kasabian single is poo. Sounds like a shit recent Prodigy tune meets Primal Scream if they were watered down & filtered through Calvin Harris's rectum.

No, it doesn't.
It sounds stupid and lazy but has a nice melody behind it and is good fun. It's ok to like them again.
They're back.

The Kasabian single is a silly knees-up, nothing wrong with that. Best review I read was 'Madness trying to reinvent themselves as a nu-rave band'. They meant it as an insult, but I'd love to hear that.
New Gruff record is very good. You been to see him live yet Karl? If so,
I MUST HAVE MISSED YOUR REVIEW IN THE 'RATE THE LAST GIG YOU WENT TO' THREAD.

I won't say it too loud, but new La Sera is quite entertaining for that overexhausted genre.
