I can only understand that transfer for that money if Guardiola wants to do a favour to Barça tbh, plus they're totally bankrupt and shoudln't be able to spend anything but anyway

They couldn’t even register aguero and others 4 months ago, now they have 55M to drop on Torres? It’s a shame, he had potential. But that’s the 3rd Spanish striker city’s bought in the last 10 years that didn’t even last 2 seasons. Maybe time to look elsewhere. |

Potential? You're getting twice as much as you paid in those two years year and a half and he's been injured and only 21 ffs. I could understand a loan but getting rid of him so easily it's a bit weird.
EDIT: There's a rumour his girlfriend is Luis Enrique's daughter so that might be another reason but still, don't get the City's thought on it.
