Noel remastering the Oasis back catalouge? So that's the same Noel that couldn't produce a sperm sample in a brothel (remember Heathen Chemistry?) remastering the Oasis back catalouge that still sounds deafeningly BIG compared most guitar bands today.
What the fuck is he going to do a track like Rock n Roll Star that will make it sound any better than it already does? Short answer: he won't do anything. He'll tinker with it and fuck with it. Should have got Owen Morris back.

Read up a bit about it, supposedly it *is* Owen Morris with some other engineer guy doing most of it. So there's that...
Still and all, I don't want them to touch definitely maybe or be here now (LOUDER! MAKE IT LOUDER!) but if they want to go to town on morning glory....have at it.

Owen Morris is doing it, he's put a bit on info on his website owenmorris.net/ . The first 3 albums are all done, and he's been working on the BHN Mustique demos as well.

I still wonder how anyone can "remaster" a record like Be Here Now, which already threatens to bring the walls of your house down when played out of speakers. If they up the volume anymore, the intro to I Hope, I Think, I Know will kill passing children.

lol, they would remaster it by lowering the volume. that album is about the worst mastered album i've ever heard. just listen to magic pie, the clipping on noels vocals is horrendous. if they do proper job with these this is huge news. would be amazing to hear dynamic versions of wtsmg and bhn instead of the brickwalled mess

The only thing that needs remastering is Noel himself.

If they up the volume anymore, the intro to I Hope, I Think, I Know will kill passing children. I just had this mental image of children imploding outside of Noel's house as that song is played through his speakers.

Glad it's not a reunion, way too early. Don't care about this at all, but BHN is fine as it is, don't touch it.

No "new" songs no... If you're not a bootleg collector it will probably look amazing, but we already have the majority of the stuff of there

I bought the cassette because I'm a dork, but I can't be bothered to spend the $175 on the box. I'll just get the 3-disc CD and call it a day, and save my money for the be here now box.
