I randomly went to Roll With It from welshylad's link and I could tell a bit of a difference, even though on shit laptop speakers. But then again I hadn't heard the song properly for years and just found myself enjoying it anyway.
I still think it's all a bit pointless. I cannot for the life of me imagine listening to a new version of Fade In-Out unless a remix or something. Absolutely fuck that.

On closer listen the drums sound pretty bad. Definitely need an eq boost at the top end. Was this done by remixing the sacd-surround tracks? I might give it a go myself this weekend..

Listening to this I realised that Guigsy can't be playing the bass on Cast No Shadow. Never really paid attention to the bass line, but it doesn't sound like his playing at all. Anyone can confirm this, or am I imagining it?

The balance is all of. Sometimes the drums come really loud only to lose the volume the next second. Some of the things that should be buried in the mix are in the foreground and some things can be hardly heard at all. |

I enjoy seeing babu excited at Oasis, it makes me happy. Still, don't diss Guigsy. Ever  edit: only heard bits from the above but the echo from Roll With It and Champagne Supernova sound a bit shit imo. They already nailed that in Hello and Rockin Chair, reet? |

i tried my hand at this "remastering" business. i mixed the separate tracks together, added some minor effects and eq and whatever. not too happy with the sacd tracks, but whatever, it was a cool way to kill few hours. plus i did better job than that youtube guy. anywayssss, download if you want. i only did champagne supernova, but can do rest too if more enough people want it. www.dropbox.com/s/x32fya7du41rzs9/oasis.mp3(320k mp3) |
