The track-clips from the new Go! Team record really do sound wonderful. I think Ninja is gone & this appears to me more of a return to the debut where it was more of Ian's solo project that was sample heavy. The second & third records were both really fun but when they became a "band" I think something was lost in the mix so I'm really excited for this recordm especially as I had no idea we'd ever get another. First record of the year I've been really enjoying is Moon Duo's "Shadow Of The Sun". It sounds like Alan Vega joining BRMC, right down my street. Probably get some shit for this but gave Mark Ronson's new album a go this morning & really enjoyed it That single with Bruno Mars is just fucking killer, like a lost Jacko/Prince number. The whole record is a lot of fun, lots of motown/funk vibes throughout without feeling desperate. So if you want a fun mainstream pop record it'll do nicely. The bloke from Tame Impala is on a few tunes & Stevie Wonder on a couple more. Never really got on with Belle & Sebastian, the new one I didn't hate though. Those synths... a couple of tunes could pass for Pet Shop Boys numbers.

2015 - the year mahoney becomes a homeowner and mark ronson fan. Next year will be him purchasing a mondeo and getting a job as an estate agent.

The Belle & Sebastian single is quite catchy but the whole album is a bit too much

The Mark Ronson record is on my backlog, but yeah, Uptown Funk is great.
There's already a few albums from this year that I'm really digging.
Liam Hayes - Slurrup California X - Nights In The Dark Ghost Culture - Ghost Culture Panda Bear - Panda Bear Meets The Grim Reaper
Solid start to 2015.
