not really feeling the right stuff.
1) riverman - 7.5/10 2) in the heat of the moment - 6.5/10 3) the girl with the x ray eyes - 7.5/10 4) lock all the doors - 8/10 5) the dying light - 6/10 6) the right stuff - 6.5/10 7) while the song remains the same - 7/10 8) the mexican - 6/10 9) you know we can't go back - 8/10 10) Ballad of the mighty I - 7/10
Good album. A solid 7/10 album. Miles better than anything Beady Eye related, and slightly better than the first one. Proper songs, and with a great flow. Strangely, Ballad of the mighty I works fantastically well as an album closer.

I think I prefer the debut, this one's nice as a repetition would have been so boring and it has a different feel but the highs aren't really high for me.

I see where you're coming from barny, which is why only 2 songs score an 8/10 from me.
This album just works a lot better than the first one for me.

I've decided never, ever to listen to it. Judging by the comments here it's seems like a record for dull people.

Tell you what, I couldn't give a fuck what anyone says The Ballad Of The Might I is awesome and I can't even begin to imagine how good it would have been with Liam singing.
The album is shite though unfortunately.
In all honesty though I don't want to sound like a Liam puff, but truthfully I couldn't even imagine getting though a full spin of Definitely Maybe with Noel on vocals throughout it all and it's a total fucking classic so it just highlights despite what many people class as a "talentless wanker" importance behind the most influential band of the last twenty year.
Noel needs Liam singing his songs really badly as he takes them up to another level massively and there ain't no denying it.

Having lived with the album for a while now, the highlights remain the same (Ballad, Dying of the light, Lock..., and Can't go back), and Song remains... and The Mexican are instantly skippable.
Am I remembering wrong or did Noel mention recording a full version of Setting Sun for the album (as a B or bonus track)?

I was looking forward to the gig in Belfast on Tuesday until I saw the performance on the Graham Norton show. That fat fucking drummer is back, the one who hits the drums as hard as he can at all times, and Noel sounded fucking awful, like he was straining the entire time.

You in Belfast for the gig Bobby? I'd say enjoy but the Odyssey is fucking horrendous for gigs so it'll probably be shit.
You'll have a good night out in the city though. Head to the Cathedral Quarter and avoid all the new bars and go for a pint of two in the Duke of York instead.

Staying in the Ibis in the Queen's Quarter, not expecting much from the gig tbh but Belfast should be decent, nice one for the recommendation, will give it a go.
