Here's some DADROCK for you guys! The Lemons - Hello, We're The Lemons This is a ridiculously sugary lo-fi bubblegum pop record. 29 tracks that all (but one) clock in under two minutes. I've been listening to it a lot lately & I liken it to eating a huge bag of Jelly Babies. You'll probably feel sick & slightly disgusted with yourself afterwards, but you can't stop yourself. albums on bandcamp Meilyr Jones - 2013 Welsh weirdo-pop. He was in Race Horses which were a bit like early SFA meets Gorky's. His solo work is a bit more quirky, reminds me of things such as Dexys Midnight Runners, Belle & Sebastian and even solo Moz at times. Good stuff. Terry - Terry HQ Krburg brought this one to my attention. Melbourne indie-rock/post-punk type deal, if you enjoy stuff like Parquet Courts you'll probably find something worthwhile on here.

Do you have a turtle for The Lemons or should I just soulseek it?

Cat's Eyes have really pulled one out of the bag on their new album. It's very lovely indeed.

Do you have a turtle for The Lemons or should I just soulseek it? Soulseek is the only answer barny.

Quite like them, nothing special but it's like listening to the iTunes preview of an album by We Are From Barcelona playing Black Lips covers

That Terry album is wonderful. I marked it as "must listen" a couple of weeks back after hearing Don't Say Sorry but it totally slipped off my radar. Glad it was mentioned here or I may never have got around to it.

Heard a new Rifles song on the radio this evening, but only realized it was them after it had ended. Sounded quite bland, seems they have a new record soon. They've got three terrible tunes on Spotify. They keep doubling up on the vocals and it sounds like aids, I did end up listening to Talking again though which I had forgot existed and is a really big fucking tune. Shit band now though.

Frank Ocean has been released exclusively on Apple Music FFS.
Hopefully soulseek will work it's magic later.

Frustrating. It's like waiting for the Libs to turn up circa 2004.
Anyway- you hate him don't you?

Didn't see the fuss for Channel Orange, I'll give his new one a go though.

Did you ever give his EP 'Nostalgia, Ultra' a go? He kind of released it before Channel Orange. It was really good.

No that's all I've heard. If I like the new record I'll give it a go.

The EP (it's actually not an EP, it's a self released album that he gave away) is not a great deal like Channel Orange. It's more poppy. It's a little patchy but there are three or four great tracks.
