Channel Orange is a landmark in 21st century music and Pyramids is a better song than anything Springsteen has ever written.

Channel Orange is a landmark in 21st century music and Pyramids is a better song than anything Springsteen has ever written. I would go nearly that far.

A bit disappointed with the new Thee Oh Sees one, too stuck on what they've been doing lately. Can't blame them though.

Just started my end of year list planning and there's 43 albums i've listened to and enjoyed enough to make the list, but i'm still waiting for something to blow my mind. Plenty of decent stuff, but not a stand out yet.

So, Frank Ocean released a 46 minute 'visual album' in the form of one long video containing 18 new songs, on Apple Music, with what looks like another album release at the weekend!
Also, Apple Music are doing 3 month free trials at the moment; you can turn off auto renew at any time so you don't get charged.
I will listen tonight.

I've still not listened to Endless but Blond is gorgeous. It really is. Completely different beast to Channel Orange. Production wise, it blows it out of the water. A lot of the tracks aren't as instant but after a couple of listens, the hooks and melodies real start to bed in. Loving it.

My favourite on first listen is Self Control. I imagine it'll change though.
Definitely an album for headphones.

I've only listened to Blonde once, it's going to take some more time I think. But I really enjoyed Endless, its a bit of a smorgasboard of ideas, and has a really hazy and woozy feel to it, but I quite enjoyed it for what it was.
