I haven't heard a single person saying 'i like it' or 'i enjoy it', which doesn't make it shit, but there's a lotta try-hards going for it Over 750,000 illegal downloads and still top of the US album charts. That's a fuck load of try-hards gone for it.

Yep, glad everyone's digging it. Number of downloads or US charts are hardly a sign of quality, though.
And now that I'm at it, anyone else thinking those Bon Iver advances are terrible?

Two more really good albums.
Morgan Delt - Phase Zero. Loved his first album, but this is a step up for me. Dreamy, hazy, lovely psych.
Lisa Hannigan - At Swim Her previous stuff has been nice in places. Gentle folk, sweet melodies, but this album is much much better. Produced by Aaaron Dessner, but it's her voice and the songwriting that really stand out.

Couldn't get on with that Morgan Delt record.
Liking this record though, 'Telefone' by Noname, very soulful sounding hip-hop. Think she's appeared on a few other records recently (Chance the Rapper etc..) but this is her first album/mix tape:

French synth surf weirdos La Femme leaked. Also downloaded that Rifles album to listen to it once and forget it.
Plus can't take Shut Up Kiss Me out off my head, so downloaded her record too.
And discovered some song called Brazil by a child called Declan McKenna which is absolutely gorgeous.

Didn't realise Angel Olsen was out already so that's my listening for the day sorted.
Also, I really like that new Nick Cave song. So dark and deeply affecting.

Angel Olsen is much more melodic and girl-groupy than I thought for whatever reason, second side is slowier but I can feel it will groooow on me.
TOY leaked too, but have a bad feeling about it

We will have a talk sometime soon about artists, their image and if the first time you listen to them have a previous preconception or not. I'm not talking about Angel Olsen although it could very well be. The 1975 could be another case.

Semi off topic comment, although it could be associated with Wilco, La Femme or TOY: can't remember the last time I got really enthralled by a first listen to a release by some band/artist I already loved before.

I'm glad he hasn't abandoned the sound from Push The Sky Away- it suits the dark subject matter. Looking forward to the album. And yeah, the Angel Olsen album is great.

Also, really really liking Tim Burgess's new record.
A complete departure from his solo and Charlatans stuff.
It's a record made with a dude called Peter Gordon, who I know nothing about but assume is responsible for the new sound.
