He didn't play 'Wonderwall' either.
All in all not a bad show, but a bit gay at times tbh.

Osheaga Festival - Montreal (July 29,30,31)
What a great experience, my first real festival and seen loads of stuff I wouldn't normally get to see.
Friday: Glass Candy - I had no idea who these guys were and I kind of wound up here luckily as it started and it was fucking great.. I find them on album is not the same as live (I downloaded a few albums after I got home) but it was fantastic and had me grooving 8.5/10
Broken Social Scene - 8/10 .. first time seeing these guys and it was a fantastic performance.
The Rural Alberta Advantage - 7/10 played a smaller stage but they sounded really good even though I had a shit view.
Eminem - 38,000 people screaming for him to come out ... it was a wild show. He did a nice tribute to Nate Dogg and played some older stuff. It was my first real RAP concert I've been too I wasn't sure how it would sound live but it sounded great. 8/10
Saturday:
Manchester Orchestra - 7/10 Singer has a good voice and they sounded really tight.
Hey Rosetta! - 6/10 I seen these guys a lot so I wasn't really into it.
Tokyo Police Club - 8/10 was BIG
Sam Roberts Band - 6/10 I wasn't really feeling it.. maybe the worst time I've ever seen him live... I left half way through so I could see The Mountain Goats at a smaller stage.
Sadly I missed Death From Above and Bright Eyes as my missus wasn't feeling well.
Sunday:
An Horse - I really enjoyed them a lot, two piece with a loud sound live. 8/10
Frightened Rabbit - 6/10 wasn't really feeling it..
Eels - Ha! E was fantastic..sounded great live, really good show. 9/10
The Pains Of Being Pure at Heart - Got right up front for this one.. Still buzzing about seeing them 10/10 It was only a 45min set but it seemed they played everything I wanted to hear.
Beirut - 8.5/10 fantastic, I really should listen to more of him.
White Lies - 8/10 ... I'm not a huge fan of them but it was one of the surprises of the festival for me... and the crowd were nuts for them.
Death Cab For Cutie - 8.5/10 I really wanted to see Crystal Castles at the same time but If I left I knew I would have a shitty place for Flaming Lips right after DCFC... Death Cab sounded really good live though and I thought at one point they where going to do a stone roses cover... but it never happened lol.
The Flaming Lips - I didn't get to catch the whole thing as I knew the que at the Metro was going to be fucking nuts.. but from what I seen it was amazing.
All in all a really good experience Montreal is a great city.

Handsome Furs - Horseshoe Tavern, Toronto (August 1st)
Handsome Furs are one of my favourite bands.. I haven't seen them live in over 3 years now so this was something really special. They came out for 3 encores and just busted through hit after hit! New album sounds really good live as well.
10/10
I'm okay with Wolf Parade taking a extended break if Dan keeps pumping out great music with the Furs.

He held my hand, and squeezed harder as the bouncers pulled me away What a moment. The man who has never been touched, touched me. He also touched my heart that night.

FIELD'S DAY
Villagers were on when we got there, I've never rated them much before and that didn't change when I saw them live. Euphoria from finding the urinals and a eating hog roast roll (not in the urinals, I should add) may have made them slightly less underwhelming but tehy were still shit. Wandered about a bit and saw L-VIS 1990 who I didn't pay much attention to, don't know how you'd describe them but they did nothing for me. Wandered back to the main stage and caught the end of Electrelane who I'd never heard of before but thought they were excellent. Sadly couldn't say the same for John Cale who I caught next. I'd really been looking forward to seeing him but honestly it could've been anyone and a couple of tunes were laughably bad. Got separated from everyone else who was going to see Jamie XX at that point so I went for something to eat and saw most of Warpaint, who again I thought were decent. Hadn't planned to see The Coral as I've seen them a few times before and they can be rank in an outdoor setting, but they were fucking superb and probably my favourite band of the night. Opened with a ten minute version of Goodbye and just played the hits, Spanish Main into Who's Gonna Find Me? never gets old. Left before the end though to see The Horrors who were really good but suffered from shit sound (some girl out-Krburged herself and gave me & Baz a detailed analysis of how reverb works) and us being stuck right at the edge of the tent. Looking forward to seeing them in the Liquid Room later in the year. Finished off with Wild Beasts ahead of Gruff Rhys as I'm seeing Gruff soon too. Though Beasts were alright but was too far back and too hammered to get into it properly. Top day out all round but the undisputed highlight was Baz punching the air when Travis came on in the boozer beforehand.

Bob Dylan & Leon Russell in the middle of nowhere in upstate new york last night. Leon Russell is appalling. Boring as fuck. Apparently he based his setlist based off beady eye...all beatles and stones. 2/10
The old man was great. Of the 20+ times I've seen him, it was probably in the top 5. Simple twist of fate was splendiferous. 8.5/10
