15th december is list date is it not? therefore we are now over halfway to this years.
yeah quite enjoyed the ride lp. wasnt a fan of the tracks released early but it kinda works better as a whole piece. nothing special and won't threaten the upper echelons of my list but not a disaster by any means.

Have heard good things about The Charlatans album but not listened yet. Have a long journey south later today, I'll give it a spin the.
Big Boi's album is as good as you'd expect. If you expect it to be very fucking good.

Not a strong first half of the year for me, think by this time on 2016 I had about 10 records I liked far more than any of 2017.

I think we've been spoilt the last two or three years TBH. There's been some all time great albums released in those years. I don't think 2017 is going to be a vintage year but there's been enough for me so far.

New Kevin Morby is really good and also been really enjoying the new Beach Fossils.

There's plenty I've enjoyed so far this year but nothings hit that 9/10 sweet spot for me yet. If I don't find one by the end of year I REFUSE to make an end of year list. No fucking way is some 8.5/10 record being proclaimed the prestigious Old_Man_Mahoney album of the year.

Genuinely loving the Charlatans latest effort. Fits the weather perfectly.

It's grown on me hugely but I still think it's a track or two too long. The Same House can die of AIDS.

I know it's not the lyric but all I hear is
WE LIVE IN THE SAME HOUSE WE CAN ALL WEAR MY GYM SHOES.
Fuck I hate that song, it has been in my head for weeks

I really like the first 8 songs on the new The Drums album but the last three i'm having a hard time getting into. Especially 'Rich Kids' it sounds like it's something Weezer would write/sing about. I really like the sound of it but I think the lyrics are fucking terrible.
Next album I'll have my hopes up for is the new Alvvays record which drops in Sept.

I'm liking the new Vince Staples record on first couple of listens, I'm not usually that keen on the production style it focuses on, the more 'club banger' style, but I'm liking it on this a lot. Loads of energy throughout and a nice compact in/out 36 minutes.
