FYI,
Whitney - Light Upon The Lake (Demo Recordings) is out today. I'm just in queue to get it on Soulseek. I'm looking forward to hearing these demos.

I just KNEW they’d cash in on her death by releasing a bunch of demos and outtakes!

really loving the spinning coin album as expected. their sound is just right up my street and despite what rod and chrissie say, it's loads better than their last band.

morrissey album seems to be getting a bit of a panning from the critics but i'm enjoying it quite a lot on first listen.

Has anyone mentioned the Princess Nokia album? New York Hip Hop artist. Great record, feels to me like a beautifully pitched mix of old and new. Great flow, smart lyrics, big hooks and big beats.
It's a shame Little Simz didn't have a new release this year as two female hip artists from opposite sides of the pond could've made two of the records of the year.

I morbidly gave Lil Peep a listen earlier to see what he was about. He's not gonna win any mercury awards or anything but his style is really interesting and his pain really shines through in the songs. It's a quite terrifying listen, i'd recommend giving him a pop

i don't know much about metal and i rarely listen to metal, but that new album by Power Trip (Nightmare Logic) is something-fucking-else Just been reading their singer died. This is still a go to for me if I want a metal hit.

Barny, have you heard a Spanish garage-rock band called Rata Negra? Nothing original but it's a pretty solid record that I've been enjoying a bit lately. I have now, they're coming from Juanita y los Feos (or at least her) which has some cool records but only got into them after their breakup. Rata Negra are releasing a new one next year, will try to catch up with them then. EDIT: This was a bit eddiemurphian, wasn't it?
