Steve the Kevin Morby record came out ages ago, pretty sure I posted about it. He’s great live, his lead guitarist is fantastic.

I'm late on this one but I really like the latest Mark Lanegan record. I've always dipped in and out of his work, mostly just liked his work with Isobel Campbell but this is really working for me. Might have to have a good search into his back catalogue.
Got to disagree with you Jamie regarding the Kamasi EP. I think it's gorgeous, plus it has continued to reward me on further listens. I'd recommend the new Tony Allen record btw. He's got a ton of guests on there but it's really high quality work, perhaps outstays its welcome a little but definitely worth your time.

I've given the Kamasi EP four listens and it's bored me each time. Shame, as judging by the enjoyment everyone else is getting from it, it's me that's missing out.
The enormous Nick Cave best of 'Lovely Creatures' is perfect. Pitched just right. It makes me wish I was discovering him for the first time.
When push comes to shove I reckon he's the best artist of the late twentieth and early twenty first centuries.

Can't argue there. There's a very infamous Itunes playlist best known as "every great song by everyone ever" that just happens to be on my computer & it contains 132 Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds songs, that's excluding the Birthday Party & Grinderman tunes too. What a man.
Just finished the Nick Cave Mercy On Me graphic novel which was a lot of fun, definitely worth picking up for Cave fans.

I was looking for info on that just the other day. When I saw him last year it seemed like the record was due out real soon, thoughts perhaps it had been scrapped

Not sure if they have a new album this year but the new Django Django track is sublime.

Destroyer too, pretty nice on first listen. Plus a live record from the Replacements.
I'm a bit worried Beck got all "young folks, I also know to be fun and weird!", trying to sound too modern after getting a Grammy with a slow album. Let's see.
Been getting into St Vincent lately for the first time, enjoyed the singles (New York is breathtaking) and checking some of her old ones.

I'm dreading the Beck album, that Wow is complete shit. The fact he's only playing a couple of new songs in his live-sets is a bit of a cause for concern too.
Hope I'm wrong though.

Half through it and it's not very memorable but not bad either, a fun dance rock one if you feel in good spirits. Until Wow I wouldn't say there's any other track as shit as that one.
