It's passable for a b-side and shits over Heathen Chemistry so actually worth a listen. Plus there's a semi-intense little bit involving the word 'fucking', thus, it shits over Heathen Chemistry. 6/10 even if wiped with sandpaper-like bog roll/the HC inner sleeve.

7?! It's at least a 10 and a bit more. A tune I always come back to, without doubt one of my favourites. 'I'm older than I wish to be, this town holds no more for me' is such a morbid yet hopeful lyric all rolled into one. I've taken that advice a couple of times down the years and packed my bags. How many other acoustic solos did they do? Zilch I'd say. It'd be an 8 for me if that "I think you're rude" line was improved. Roll It Over
Moody SOTSOG closer, half great lyrics, half high school poetry. Post drugs, post celeb-high Noel, moaning about fake people and empty partying. it sounds like a SOTSOG track, nice solo (by Marr?), solid Liam vocals. A bit 10CC though. 7/10

Roll with It
Famously lost the battle of Britpop (I still call shenanigans), this probably didn't need to be a single or deserve to be a single - I recall one of the early reviews describing the lyrics as Lennon-esque; I'm not feeling it. It's fine, poppy throwaway stuff but hardly essential. I'm always reminded of the infamous second Wembley gig, where Noel's really feeling the "take me away"s at the end. 6/10
Not a word for Married with children?
Married with Children 7 #DIV/0!

You know, it's kinda been slagged off so much that's it become pretty underrated again. I'd much rather listen to it than DLBIA and Wonderwall and maybe even Live Forever too, cos those tunes have been overplayed to death. Roll With It still sound fresh to me and gets the juices flowing for the breezy and effortless rocker it is. I'd choose to listen to it over a lot of the other so-called hits anyway. Cool tune.

Ps - I was heartbroken Friday night. I finally, finally bought Giants on vinyl thus was damn excited about giving it my first spin...only the 'fucking in the bushes' line was non-existent through my speakers?!?! What the fuck!!! Did I somehow buy a non-explicit version?? The fact the boys would even allow this to be released broke me even more. Or does my speaker/amp need tinkering?? I basically can't hear the bloke's voice on FITB. I was fuming to the equivalent of the power of A Quick Peep.
Add to this my Nico record started skipping on I'll Keep It With Mine. My favourite fucking tune on it and probably why I bought the record.
FUCK VINYL

Round Are Way
Wonderwall B-side (rounded out by the Swamp Song and The Masterplan - great little collection there), here's a fun bouncy tune with lyrics that are just what they need to be. There are horns but it's not ska or soul. Sometimes performed live with part of "Up in the sky" tacked on to the end, it's a more than solid track that deserved to be on The Masterplan collection, probably in place of either of the two Noel-sung acoustic tracks. 7/10

You originally afforded (as long as they've got) cigarettes in Hell the following verdict:
Which I took as a 4, being generous. You've given it a five!
I'm surprised and appalled at the relative love that High Horse gets - it remains IMO the worst Oasis song.
Sad Song
Vinyl-only bonus track on debut DM, this was the 4th Noel sung offering released to the world after Take me away, Spaceman, and the acoustic Up in the sky B-sides from the first three singles.
Acoustic, quiet, pretty. Lyrically we get some of those early themes - referring to living in "this town" kind of disdainfully still hints at that escape desire.
Quite a pessimistic effort - we're all just scurrying about, not really switched on, not really aware, not really living. 7/10

Good ratings Karlos but I think Round Are Way is better than a 7. It manages to still sound unique for an Oasis song. The bit where it slows down just before the outro, with the acoustic guitar and bassline (!!) is one of my favourite moments in any tune. Already know yaaaaaaaaaaa

Shakermaker
The worst single from the first three albums, this is a pretty hazy throwaway from the debut - as with some of Noel's other songs, it seems like he started writing it with one idea in mind and then changed to a different set of lyrics halfway through.
I think it'd be more interesting if there was more of the Mr Sifter stuff, like a modern day "Penny Lane", but anyway. 5/10
