Titanic rising by Weyes Blood is the most beautiful album I’ve heard since Skeleton Tree. A masterpiece.

Hawley's got a new one coming out next month. Given he's put out 2 of my favourite albums of the decade, I'm quite looking forward to this one.

Ridiculous number of new releases out tomorrow that I'm looking forward to. Definitely the biggest release day of my year so far.

Loving the Fat White's record. See they've been added to the line up of the APE Strokes day too.

Fat White MEH family. The record sounds so forced & sterile. The only exciting moment being when Baxter Dury turns up.

Wand's new album 'Laughing Matter' is an belter, probably my album of the year so far. Don't know if anyone else has followed their progress over the years, but they've slowly morphed from a garage/psych rock outfit, in the spirit of Ty Segall/Thee Oh Sees (two of the band were in Ty's 'Muggers' band), into a somewhat more expansive and experimental band. Their last album 'Plum' and then the EP from last year (Perfum) were big directional shifts and this album feels like a culmination of that process, they've really nailed it with this.
There is a lot of space on the record, the arrangements and dynamics are the key. Pretty much every review as mentioned shades of Radiohead and you can definitely see that in some of the more textured elements of the record. It takes a good couple of listens, but well worth the effort.
Also really enjoying this new record that Upset the Ryhthm just put out:
The band is called 'Hash Redactor' and ths album is called 'Drecksound'. It's essentially a post-punk/garage rock record, i'm getting some real Fall vibes from it, especially the ryhthm section, proper Steve Hanley style bass parts all over it.

New Skepta album at the end of May. Will it match the hype of his last Mercury Prize-winning LP? Let’s find out!

Big red is late to the party, they deserved the hype when Alligator came out and every song wasn’t a dirge. That’s fucking 14 years ago.
Surprised to find a lack of Monkey Tennis posts in here hyping King Krule or a Kanye rant like it’s Never Mind the Bollocks.

It’s been a lacklustre year in the hip hop world for me so far this year, but excited about the new Tyler record (lived Flower Boy) along with news of a Q-Tip produced new album from Danny Brown on the way.
