This is the thread where each year I say EVAN DANDO BEST GET HIS ARSE INTO GEAR AND RELEASE SOMETHING NEW.
Think there's a GBV confirmed for early next year, though I guess that isn't much of a surprise.
Nick Cave has apparently been in L.A recording with the Bad Seeds so I've a feeling we'll get a new record later in 2019.

Think it's a certainty we'll get more Ian Brown solo material. Tbh I'm far more excited at the prospect of him starting to do interviews again than hearing new music. I really wish at least one of the Roses would open up on why they ground to a halt and why we didn't get more than two new tracks. Browno always enjoyed shouting his mouth off so hopefully he spills the beans.

He won't be able to help himself. All the dirt will be coming out about Reni's smack addiction. Also, Mani is going on my death list for next year.

"Ian Brown's brand new single ‘First World Problems’, his first solo material in nine years, is out now. The single precedes the new album ‘Ripples’ which will be released on March 1, 2019. Ian produced ‘Ripples’ as well as writing the majority of the tracks on the album. Three of the songs were co-written with his sons, who also play a multitude of instruments across the release."

Something called the Lemonheads will release another cover album next year, it includes Magnet by NRBQ which is a tune and was also being played by Whitney when I saw them.

Yes! I can't believe I'm so excited for another fucking covers album but life is short, I'll take what I can get from Dando at this point. '06 since his last original music Thought that Ian Brown song was pretty awful tbh. Though not as bad as the new Ashcroft tune

I actually enjoyed it! (I'm talking about the album, not that stupid "the cocaine I dropped wasn't cocaine, for real!" song he did the other week.)

Julia Holter's is probably best thing i've heard this year. Bonkers, brilliant and beautiful. Shades of Kate Bush in places, Alice Coltrane's Ashram recordings in others.
Easily best heard through headphones.

Unpopular opinion: I actually like that new Browno tune. Can't wait for the solo gigs in a medium sized venue near you!
