New song, true story about an incident I suffered whilst in Birmingham Love the way your words intertwine with the beats. Very confident and assured delivery too, good stuff.

Thanks. I've got enough spoken word pieces ready for another poetry record, though I think I'm going to hold onto them and try to develop them into songs. I'll just release them as I do them then hopefully later in the year I'll have enough for an album of spoken word/post-punk/electronic type thing similar to this & Firm Rankings. My dream is to make JP's top 75 albums of the year. Not expecting anybody to bother with this one, but here's a lengthy ambient/drone record I made around the same time as Transitions. It's two 25 minute pieces. More atmospheric noise than anything, one for headphones/probably be good for insomniacs Reverberations1. Galaxy Guru 25:21 2. Survival Stimulant 25:16 yellowperilrecords.bandcamp.com/album/reverberations

The Jesus Abyss have no niche. You can't stick me & poor ol' Malkmus in a box, we do whatever we want!

Two new tunes Pictures and their stories. Was trying to do Television Personalities/Terry, though it ended up coming out sounding like owl on a skateboard II Short one, Christ on a bike.

The Bloodsucking Leech 03:17 yellowperilrecords.bandcamp.com/album/grave-timesThis is my major attempt to make JP's top 75 albums of the year. Probably the longest I've ever spent on one record. I'm all out of lyrics & ideas now so this'll probably be the last time I spam the soapbox with my music for a while.

I'm going to fire the Yellow Peril marketing team. They didn't put any thought into the release schedule.

I missed it, but I don't remember seeing it on hasitleaked or exy. Now that I know, I'll give it some good listens sooner or later.

Doing it now. The extra effort is quite noticeable and it really pays off, not only is this more song oriented and more easily digestible, I'd say it's very consistent too. Also, you start playing more with background vocals and effects, loving it. I'd define it the Fall meets The Streets covering Tom Waits with menacing electro undertones, which is great and all of them have always been present on your music. Pictures & their stories is fantastic, a lost TV Personalities song. Generic Chain Pub is another highlight and the last one is grooooovy. I was listening to it while reading an interview to Ezra Koenig, it felt like a hundred worlds apart
