"Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are set to release a new Greatest Hits album to celebrate a decade as a band.
‘Back The Way We Came: Vol 1 (2011-2021)’ will come out on June 11 via Sour Mash Records, and features two brand new songs. The first of these, ‘We’re On Our Way Now’, is streaming below now.
Of the milestone, Gallagher said: “10 years of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds?? Blimey! … Just think of all the things I COULD have done in that time!!
“The title just came to me one afternoon, at the kitchen table,” he added. “It’s a saying isn’t it: ‘back the way we came’. I actually thought it was a great title. Which is why it’s got vol 1. Because if there’s another one, I’m not coming up with another title!”
Listen to ‘We’re On Our Way Now’, watch the trailer for the new album and see the tracklist for ‘Back The Way We Came: Vol 1 (2011-2021)’ below.

From his interview with GQ, 'I did the stadium rock thing once and I don’t think I’m capable of doing it. Halfway through my first tour, I’d sold out the O2 and it didn’t really sit that well with me. Because a) I felt I hadn’t earned it and b) I thought people were coming to see the guy from Oasis – and he better be doing these fucking eight songs! Which, of course, I didn’t and I have never played there since.'
He did 9 Oasis songs at the O2. He's such an oddball.

That's possibly the worst song he has ever recorded His tunes are getting more and more generic with each release A.I. these days can write songs with more personality What a fucking bellend

It is a snooze fest, but the masses who he seems to be chasing again will love it.

You could knock up a pretty banging 15 track playlist of post Oasis Liam numbers. With Noel there's about 4 songs he's done that I'd ever be interested in hearing again.

Oh, and I remember liking the last half of Rattling Rose because it sounds vaguely Brazilian.

I liked The Right Stuff and While the Songs Remains the Same. I think these are his best tunes and, by his own admission, he has nothing to do with them. Also Ballad of the Mighty I, some parts of it at least. Liam's tunes can be unimpressive at times, but what Noel is doing nowadays borders on the embarassing. He spent the first 15 years of his career mocking Phil Collins but is his post-Oasis stuff better than post-Genesis Phil Collin's? No it isn't. What an absolute twat.
We really need a new great band to come around and take a shit into his mouth, like he did back in the day.

I don't think it's the worst thing he's released but I am not a big fan of it.
I've never listened to a Noel solo album from start to finish and tried this morning with his debut and I just couldn't do it. I guess knowing the majority were left over Oasis songs and Sardy producing it.. it just sounded pure shite. Hollow and dull.
