New Dry Cleaning album in October!
I have heard a high quality rip of the new single and it is a banger.

I was going to listen to the new van morrison album to give a jokey review. I couldn't even get through the first song. "Someone said I was dangerous, that just means I'm getting closer to the truth. I want the evidence, I want the proof."
FUCK YOU, OLD MAN.

Just heard a new hip hop album that's really blown me away. The Overview Effect by Jermiside and The Expert.
It's billed as being influenced by golden era hip hop and 60s psych and sounds exactly like a combination of these two things. Really impressed on first listen.

I don't have any headphones at my desk so can't have a listen. I must have missed this as it's been on YouTube for 8 days. Looks like a new album will come out on September 16th.
Tracklist: 1. NOTHING REMAINS 2. BACK THEN 3. BLUE 4. TWIRL 5. REAL LOVE 6. MEMORY 7. SELF 8. NEVER CROSSED MY MIND 9. TERMINAL 10. HEART WILL BEAT 11. LOST CONTROL 12. COUNTY LINES
Looks like Rolling Blackouts still doesn't make the cut. Unless it has a name change

It's way more modern sounding and poppy but still quite them and classic, all about looped sounding drums and tinkling keys. I'm into it.

Conscious Rap at it's best. Lovely production too.

Glad you enjoyed Titch. Seems dirt cheap to pick up on wax as far as new hip hop releases go nowadays too.

Just got round to the Animal Collective album from earlier in the year.
I've not listened to anything from them since Merriweather Post Pavillion, but enjoyed that and a couple of albums that came earlier (Sung Tongs and Feels) and Panda Bear's debut.
This is quite different. I would say more immediate from first listen through. Lots of melody, same great harmonies as ever and some interesting beats. A real summery vibe to it.
I reckon this is what Pet Sounds era Beach Boys might sound like if they were transported to the 2020s.

This song is like a light version of MBV. I wonder if the whole album is gonna be super fuzzy
