Quite funny when you think how often Dwayne bemoaned his Oasis bandmates (one in particular) for not wanting to sound drastically different to normal but he's churned out yet another of these sort of songs once again.

‘Council Skies’ released on 2nd June 2023.

Disc 1
1. I'm Not Giving Up Tonight
2. Pretty Boy
3. Dead To The World
4. Open The Door, See What You Find
5. Trying To Find A World That's Been And Gone Pt. 1
6. Easy Now
7. Council Skies
8. There She Blows!
9. Love Is A Rich Man
10. Think Of A Number

Disc 2
1. Don't Stop...
2. We're Gonna Get There In The End
3. Mind Games
4. Pretty Boy (Instrumental)
5. Dead To The World (Instrumental)
6. Council Skies (Instrumental)
7. Think Of A Number (Instrumental)
8. I'm Not Giving Up Tonight (David Holmes Remix)
9. Think Of A Number (Pet Shop Boys Magic Eye 12" Remix)
10. Pretty Boy (Robert Smith Remix)
11. Council Skies (The Reflex Revision)
12. Flying On The Ground (Radio 2 Session, 08.09.21)

I quite like that tbh. Fuck all of the experimental/cosmic pop bullshit. Just stick to writing songs like this and stop being a pretentious bell end.

Yeah, his best song in a while with a few touches that feel different from his usual shit and some actual energy across the whole thing. It is okay.

Shaking off the mid-tempo acoustic cobwebs to throw on tracks 4 and 7….it’s happening! #dontbelievethetruth2025

Pretty Boy 6/10
Easy Now (probably 8.5/10 if not even better)

I think this now song has a mint production and got an interesting twist instead of being just another typical Noel/Oasis-singalong number. I might even turn into a high flying bird in the upcoming summer.

Oh look, it's yet another of those endless variations on the If I Had a Gun / The Dying of the Light / Dead in the Water formula!!

Quite digging it, though!
