Who are we thinking are going to be the openers? I am go money on Kasabian for sure. Liam insisting his son's band get on the bill is going to be 'Noel upset about Liam getting Pretty Green adverts in the official programme' for a new generation. power dynamic in the band has shifted since then though... Noel can't pay for a divorce by headlining Kendal Calling.

Love it, I bought some (faux) leather converse and they cracked badly, they were slip on as well to uphold my shoelace intolerance - motherfuckers fell apart after two months! Took me a while to get over it. I still have a spare pair but scared of wearing them - perhaps they'll do for funerals and reunions?
Barny, you missed my point I feel. Ana is our age and most people our age have heard of The Strokes. But not many under 25 have, at least those not into indie rock. US could be different I dunno, here they aren't well known at all if you're -10 years of us. And for the record I still commute into town most days, so not quite Chuck Noland...yet.

Are you going to go to any of the gigs, Sully?
I would guess you will make the bare minimum effort to get tickets and then bin it off based on some comment about there being too many people there who have sensible haircuts and straight legged jeans or something.

Only if Ste sorts out a school reunion!
Not sure in truth, big stadiums and that, add to that the cost and travel, but could be the last chance to see them realistically, before they call it a day completely. Let's see if Guigsy is game and/or whether Zuton on bass is learning Cloudburst.

My heads are full of thoughts and vivid pictures. What is about to happen? Who will join the stage??
My lofty predictions:
They are giving Bonehead hair loss treatment so he can look like the classic era 91-93 Bonehead. Liam will also be pranking'n'amusing Noel during the world tour by cutting off his haircut and eyebrows while he's asleep - he will look mental for the american dates. They're having a good laugh again. Alan McGee is there also reminding himself of sobriety though he's near psychotic of it all. Gem is getting along with everyone as always, and he sure knows how to bend the strings during GLIO. Guigsy is featured on the BIG screen as a heartful and warm meme: BUSY WATCHING CRICKET! Tony McCarroll will be in the crowd with the people, he was always one of us! - look out though for chris hutton, he's getting very, very drunk! Andy Bell is busy with Ride, and his fiancee won't let him to rejoin Oasis:((((((((( Alan White keeps posting drum videos on instagram and forgetting that it is all happening right here, right now.

surprised and disappointed to discover there’s no priority booking queue for masterplan alumni.

they will add so many dates that getting a ticket off twickets or ticketmaster resale will be simple. I'm going to wait until nearer the time. If Dwayne's singing little by little, boneheads only showing up for a couple of tunes & Kasabian + Miles Kane are opening I'll sit it out. Liam doing DM + B-sides was enough for me.

I got a feeling you'll see The Black Keys as an opening band as well.

Getting lots of praise from all the media, it's funny about some really weird choices: consequence.net/list/oasis-deep-cuts-songs-reunion-tour-setlist/the-nature-of-realityor www.pastemagazine.com/music/oasis/the-15-greatest-oasis-songs-rankedEveryone seems to agree about which records are better, but people strongly disagree about their favourite tracks from the period after 1996. Which means they certainly couldn't keep their God-like status but maybe there weren't as many duds as people used to believe. I, myself, listened to SOTSOG a few weeks ago (before the madness) and thought it was a pretty cool little album if not anything mindblowing. Same with BHN, always a favourite of mine. I think these days I embrace the way they are and wouldn't have them any different.

Barns a few quick changes in SOTSOG and it could be my favorite one by them. I hate put yer money where your mouth is get Let's All Make Believe in it.

The first half of Dig Out Your Soul is very good IMO. Would love to hear them do live versions of Bag It Up or The Turning when they reform. They won’t, of course.
