Sad to see the 40-somethings of this forum react so badly to some mild criticisms of a Squire cash-in. He’s already tarnished LG’s legacy, don’t let him taint you by association! Sad to see the 40-somethings of this forum banging the same drum a week after the album has been released. How many times do you really need to say it? Pipe down old man. We run this forum.

Not me this time gents.
Enjoyed the performance of Mars To Liverpool on Jonathan Ross. Is it just me who thinks it felt a tad bit faster than the album version?
Looking forward to blasting the album on the way down to Manchester today. My missus will hate it.

Live performance was cool, Liam looking pretty sharp and hitting that first line notes in the chorus is not easy... song is close to being great but for some reason ot isn't for me

yeah tucker, definitely felt faster to me. reckon the whole album is going to sound heavier and nastier live. real jealous of anyone getting to these gigs.

Hearing rumours Steph loves it. Wonder if Andy (From The Pub) still has her number.

quickly becoming quite obsessed with this album.
here it is, the definitive jp verdict...
raise your hands - oasis and lg solo have always been pretty good at big rousing album openers. the trend continues here with this beast. reminds me of a more playful turn up the sun. 9/10
mars to liverpool - i reckon this could have a claim for being the best track a gallagher has featured on in about 20 years. huge. 10/10
one day at a time - quite a sexy little number. i really like the way liam sings "a little romaannnnce" 8/10
i'm a wheel - pure filth. i enjoy the fact this tune is upsetting the squares. 9/10
just another rainbow - ive had a weird relationship with this tune. really liked it to begin with (listing the colours aside) but then slowly went off it. the album has given it a new lease of life and it fits in well as part of the whole piece. still loses a point for that fucking colour list though. 7/10
love you forever - this one lacks a little something for me. squire's guitar sounds good but i don't think the lyrics and melody is particularly memorable. 6/10
make it up as you go along - i singled this out as my weakest tune on the album the other day. it has grown on me since then and whoever it was that said it sounds like LG doing an early roses tune made me see this in a new light. 6/10
you're not the only one - this was an instant favourite after first listen. piano reminds me of bring the light and there's no finer compliment than that. 10/10
i'm so bored - i want to like this more than i do. i agree with tucker in that it needs to be punkier and heavier. can imagine it being a beast live but on record it kinda feels like a tamed lion. 7/10
mother nature's song - i was initially disappointed with this after the hype liam gave it but this has proven to be a real grower. squire's guitar work is quite beautiful here 8/10
average score is 8/10 so well worthy of 4 jp stars on rym

Lads, I've just added the whole album to the Soapbox Community Playlist, has any album ever received such an honour? Thought not.

Cheers mate. An olive branch if ever I saw one. I kinda wish the medieval riffs were taken out of One Day at a Time. It would be delicious as a straight up pub rock tune. Like something by early Rifles with a much better vocal.
