3D is a gimmick IMO which won't last. wouldnt be surprised if this is true, like most people the only thing I've seen in 3D is avatar which was shot by James Cameron spending millions on the technology and designing the cinematography etc to suit it, even changing the style of filming away from fast edits (which apparently cause headaches in 3D) bog standard telly isn't going to get anywhere near that and I'd imagine a lot of people are going to see it and be dissapointed. as for footy on telly, as long as the team I hate most loses i dont care about much else

3D is a gimmick IMO which won't last. They've been trying this every 10 years or so since the mid 50's, I do think 3D will become the norm for big budget movies now that most cinema's have the technology to show them but as for watching sports or watching tv at home I just can't see there being enough interest for it to be successful. I see no reason why 3D won't continue to be popular in cinema's now though.

3d fucks with my eyes and gives me headache. plus the thing is, at least with football, that they frame the picture to be closer so that the 3d effect pops out more and then that makes the tactical viewing of the game really difficult. awful trend that i hope will die a quick death.
plus, wtf is with that first picture. cunts with their mouths open wearing a 100 dollar pieces of plastic on their faces. who on earth is gonna fall for this?

I think the main problem with that first pic is that the "men" in that pic arent sitting in the best seats for the football, and the women don't seem to be keeping them constantly supplied with cold cans and crisps.

Has anyone watched a 3d match yet and felt the need to try and touch the ball or friedel's face?

Ain't a fan of 3D at all. I'd rather go to the cinema and watch a regular flick without having to wear those shitty glasses.
