upcoming gigs

Nice, I won a pair for the coral on Monday at royal Albert hall though I suspect they were giving tons away, that venue is far too large for them

they are playing liverpool uni in a couple of weeks and haven't sold even the standing tickets out, unsurprisingly really even *I* am not sure I can be arsed...

I've also won (this might well be 'won', I know two of the three promoters) tickets for the liars gig tomorrow night which is a godsend as i'm broke.

it does mean I've won tickets to a gig for last week, this week and next week though, thats a bit of a streak.

Grinderman tonight and then DJ Shadow on Mon and Tues. Cant wait.

Grinderman should be ace, one of the best gigs I've seen this year.

It was a "wow" gig no doubt. Loved every fucking second and didnt want them to stop despite it being 11:30, an hour away from home, and having to get up at 6 to start the new job

Just found out the Duke Spirit are the support for BRMC's tour which is sweet. Just got a pair for Jesse Malin as well, not seen him for yonks.

I didn't even know BRMC (never seen them live ) or Jesse were touring

Seen spectrals thrice this year and they are a fucking great band, destined to headline small and perhaps medium sized venues, release 3 albums then disappear and forever be unappreciated. If any of you boys like echoey, slightly dischordant 60's pop about having your heart broken sung in a Leeds accent, I strongly recommend you check em oot.

we saw them the other week supporting wavves, they were absolutely awesome, louis had borrowed wavves,s delay pedal and was putting his vocals through it. Had a bit of bother with this guy though, this absolute cunt head started heckling them about halfway through, really unoriginal heckling too('your shit', 'get off', and most infuriatingly 'don't you ever smile?') it really pissed me off because it was kind of ruining the gig. At the end of the gig me and will headed for the exits and i walked past this guy and told him i thought he was a cunt, started walking off and heard a thud behind me and will had literally laid the fucker out on the floor with an almighty push. Hopefully he thinks twice before hecking the almighty spectrals again!

hahaha fucking hell, i read about that on spectrals twitter page. little did i know it was little will crook finally taking a huge step into manhood.

dunno if you saw it but basically spectrals dude said something like, thanks to the guy in the spectrals tshirt who punched that heckler. its one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me.
